A truck hauling lab monkeys from Tulane University crashed in eastern Mississippi today, and several of the animals fled the vehicle. All but one of the escaped monkeys were âdestroyed," the Jasper County Sheriff's Department shared on Facebook.
"In a statement, Tulane University stated that âthe primates... are not infectious.â The Jasper County Sheriffâs Office said all of the escaped monkeys, except for one, âhave been destroyed.â The sheriffâs department is still looking for one of the monkeys that is still on the loose.
