Kek. Probably soon. Taxation in Illinois is about as absurd as absurd gets. They even maintain their roadway tolls, making billions for the politicians, despite the fact that the roadways have long been paid for.
Yep the toll booths should have been removed a long time ago. Once they were paid for the corrupt Politicians said we need to keep them open to fund the maintenance of the roads and they were given an extension. When the extension was up low and behold they claimed they were broke again and when it was looked into they pissed the money away on a huge new super office building and imported Italian leather chairs in at $1500 each and blown all the money. That was probably 15 years ago now and theres no slowing down now.
Illinois tollroads are the ultimate criminal enterprise. The people of Illinois are pretty much mild-mannered Midwesterners, otherwise they would revolt and have every right to do so IMO

I live in Illinois. We were corrupt way before California. Since the days of Jimmy Hoffa and probably before, this state has been a Democrat strangle hold. The city of Chicago has been our drain for many years. Cheating and stealing has been our way of life here forever. Since the turn of the century our red counties have been infiltrated by people moving west out of the city. The heavily populated suburbs are now dominated by leftist voters and plenty of election fraud.
Former IL resident here and agree with you 100%. Chicago and Illinois have been deeply corrupted since the days of Capone. Illinois is the birthplace of political corruption and fraud.

Honestly, I don't think there are many D voters in Illinois. Its possibly the most corrupted state and has been for a while. I'm a former resident and everyone I know from the windy city to the farmlands is a staunch conservative. Fraud is the only thing keeping this state blue. During the '24 election, Illinois (like Cali) was called blue for Harris with less than 10% of the votes counted. Fraud is making it blue, not the voters.

Disagree on this one. The majority of the people of Illinois are good, well-intentioned, polite conservatives. They didn't vote for any of this nor the politicians. It's the fraud that's getting these criminals politicians in, not the people. I'm convinced NY and Cali are the same. Not the fault of people/voters, but the fraud.

I could talk chicago for days. My nonna was al copones 1st cousin. My poppyworked for giancana. To this day, I still know all the players. My grandfather working for Giancana, brought us to rosemont. Where i got into politics and rubbed elbos with all the governors, senators, and reps. I know so much of the behind the scenes info, its crazy.
IL is red. Unions went red, pd fd and city workers are red. If they do this, there will be a huge exodus. Born and raised in Chicago. Police chief dad, city worker bro. All my friends are pd, fd etc. IL has been rigged a long time. I played in politics there before I moved to fl. I witnessed at a wedding of a prominent politician, the discussion of a casino, and land being sold to then gov Blago, in return for the license. I hand delivered 20k checks to politicians for a certain state rep to help get a casino moving. Took part in getting ufc 90 in Chicago and dealing with legislators to creat new laws. Chicago is Fd, but its not the D stronghold my parents came up in. Its pay to play. Always has been.
