The issue is that we're not likely to get more than a start, and the "start" isn't necessarily soon, but it probably would be within a year by outside guess. The fact is that the black and white hats all know the old collateralization game has run out and there need to be new sources, which are metals, property, and the labor behind Bitcoin. Therefore there needs to be an "orderly" transfer from the deceptive tax of 1862/1913 to a new system, and tariffs are an excellent Constitutional method that doesn't have the deception level attached (but it does have the monarchic arbitrariness attached). I don't see the abolition of the IRS soon, but since it will be abolished by rights I wait for it eschatologically.
By comparison, income taxes by far the easier one to eliminate.
Through tariffs, and eventually other creative methods as demonstrated by President Trump, we will have all the funds we need. In addition, the work being done by DOGE, will further reduce the total capital needed to maintain the federal government.
Property tax is where we will have problems. Not by right that it needs to go away, but that community and local services have become dependent on property taxes. Something as simple as a library is typically funded in all fifty states through property taxes.
Public services such as fire, police, public works like water and sewer, typically receive funding from property tax.
Research needs done as to how it was done before, and what alternative methods could be used to generate the tax needed to fund these services.
And I'm not talking like slap on a sales tax hike and you're good.
You're right on track. Adam Smith showed that income taxation is the upstart and less honorable, and Karl Marx showed that value-added taxation (of which sales taxation is the light version) is just the very definition of communism as a theory of added value.
Property taxation is more honorable and pedigreed, but even there states like Florida are making inroads against statism. The path "back", and forward, is the return of voluntaryism, where Americans just already know to volunteer for Franklin's fire department or Alexandria's public library. America was founded of necessity and never entitlement. This requires major awakening by the critical mass of Americans. Those who are doing the awakening have done a tremendous job so far given the scope of the work, and we Rangers do our part locally.
People believe what they want to believe. And if it's just a sketchy ass X account making unsupported claims? That's more than enough for people desperate to feel like we're winning. 🤷♀️
Makes us all look like idiots, but it gives them their hourly dose of dopamine, so no one cares. 😕
Looks like someone is trying to give that "Joys1Daughter" or whatever her name is a run at who will be able to post the most idiotic click Bait nonsense. 🙄
Looks like a fairly new account as well...
If I were a paranoid person, I'd think this was some liberal trolling us to make us all look like retards who will believe anything they see.
Very doable. $150K plus tax payers provide about 75% of the income tax revenue. Tariffs and cutting government outlays could make that a reality. Throw in double digit growth for a few years and we would be in constant surplus.
Yes, I am real big on property tax going away. You don’t own it, you are just renting it from the government. My Great Aunt having to sell off pieces of her farm to pay the property taxes got me on this crusade. Starting with the people over 65.
Because... $150k is NOTHING. That's two measly $75k salaries of a married couple BARELY getting by with INSANE property taxes, house, car notes, kids' needs etc. Maybe you could swing that in a flyover state, but not a state where you have to pay $800-1200/mo JUST to keep the sheriff from kicking you out of your own home.
ALSO... Setting a threshold of $150k disincentivizes people to work hard and not just survive, but to THRIVE - which IS the American way.
If you're going to set a hard cap like that, make it $1.5 million. Who knows, with inflation being what it's been, we might not hit that for 5 years yet...
What do you call eliminating taxes on all poor and middle-class Americans?
A good start!
Better question: when?

Yep
Tarrifs. Thats why the dnc wants to block tarrifs.
You guys realize this is just some anon on the internet, and not Tom Homan, right? And that this is just a larp tweet, right?
Notice how there’s no link to this “breaking new plan”?
Come on do better.

It can be free-if tariffs remain in play.
And I hope this means 150k/individual, not married couples combined income

Once the "debt" is off the books, and the fed size is reduced, they should be able to eliminate income tax all together.
Other than that, property tax would be another good one to eliminate, but that is a loca/state issue.

Raise your hands if you acted like you belonged on an elite research board and did any research at all to see if this was true.
Raise them up high. I see your hand, u/PompeiusMagnus.
Anyone else?

Nope.
Wait, what? Why?
