There is a High Turn over of Staff in Meat Processing. 100% to be exact yearly. It is not an enjoyable occupation. In order to entice Americans, there should be a higher amount earned before being taxed. I also think they should allow people to live near the Plants in Tiny Houses. Thus offsetting the negatives with positives. New Models need to be tried. Meat Processing is not going away anytime soon. Let's make it more enticing like the finished product.
Tyson Foods (TSN) is closing a beef production plant in Nebraska and paring operations at another as the outlook for the industry remains challenged amid tighter cattle supply and soaring prices.
The meat-processing giant announced on Friday plans to close one beef facility in Lexington, Neb., and will also lower production at its beef plant in Amarillo, Texas. To meet demand, it plans to increase volumes at its other beef facilities.
The company said earlier this month it expects losses in its beef business to be up to $600 million for its current fiscal year. The decision may impact up to 5,000 workers across the two facilities.
ICE was on the way.
No way they could lose $600 M from a plant that employs 5000. Only an idiot would lose $600M in one year.
5000 persons making $50k per year = $250M
Except they don’t pay them $50K per year.
Yummmmmmmm……hey, can you pass me that bowl of bill-gates-of-hell lab-grown soylent green please? I don’t know what they are putting in that stuff. But it is delicious!!!!!!😀😀
Tyson is a poultry based company really. Chickens. 600million ain’t gonna hurt them in the slightest imo. They basically compete in all three meat sales in America and if not mistaken is the largest meat company based in the states. Global sales they are not. But as far as chicken, they own that side. We had a Tyson that came around us about 7-8 years ago. They don’t shy away from giving away millions and millions of dollars to every school business and whomever to “accept” their presence. My kids school back then got a fully loaded 18wheeler, trailer, all new, and they added a driver when needed. And that was just for the band! They got crazy money. 600m ain’t nothing.
This was the source of the big E-Coli stink back in the mid 90s. At the time, it was owned by Hudson Foods. It forced the sale of Hudson to Tyson at a $300 million loss. Look it up-- lead story in the press for weeks.
I think there will be more selling from the farmers to the people. We have people who want to buy their beef self-selected and control the processing at local abattoirs. Also control the vaxes and hormones.
Fuck Tyson foods! They fired American workers and immediately replaced them with shit skins over night. Go broke!

The $600M loss sounds totally fake to me. One of two things. A liberal scam to drive up beef prices or they were about to get raided by ICE.

For some reason I'm not worried in the slightest

Is it just me or is that a picture of chicken nuggets? Maybe that's the problem...
Haha! I didn't even know Tyson produced beef. I've never seen their beef steaks, nuggets, or sausages before, unless it's under a different brand.
Same here!
