The Democrat caucus can lock votes. (In parliamentarian speak called "binding its members") If a member refuses to go along, he/she can lose committee assignments and anything else the caucus has a say in. Republican caucus can't do that. Not in their rules.

I know. Generally speaking. There's always an exception. However it did take a month and over a dozen votes and God knows what behind the scenes to get the few rats to vote to reopen
I understand that. But i just watch in amazement how every vote since Obama EVERY self-identifying demonRat votes together. Not one single defection.

Because they are being paid to, or blackmailed to do so, that is why they stick together. Many were placed in office by the DEEP STATE, not voted in.
