I have long suspected that Trump was using the Epstein dump as a threat to compel many in Congress and industry to resign, announce they won't seek reelection, etc. I think the BBB was only passed because of Trump's leverage on corrupt legislators and RINOs with something to lose.
That also aligns with why Bondi, Patel and Trump didn't rush to release everything. That info was more valuable as a threat than it was in reality.
The Left has been trying to twist it around on Trump by saying, "fine, you're blackmailing us, but we will simultaneously make people think you're dragging your feet because there are pictures of you with Epstein as well." Basically, "there is a cost to your extortion and we're all too happy to make you pay some price for it."
The Left never thought Trump would actually release the files and therefore his leverage, but the noise got so loud and Trump decided to go ahead and lose the extortion leverage but flip it into full disclosure about Epstein and the monsters who did horrible things to children.
Basically, the Left chose to jump from the frying pan into the fire.
Meanwhile, Congress is free from the threat that the Epstein dump could destroy them and they are acting as aggressively as they can to harm Trump and the MAGA agenda to slow him down for the next year before the midterms.
Bingo, because their pea brains could not comprehend Trump actually giving up that leverage (which could make him the Emperor if he wanted) for greater good.
In a 2002 interview Trump said Epstein likes them on the younger side. Trump knew then and I’m sure many years before 2002 that Epstein liked them on the younger side.
Not a fan of the whole idea that "blackmail is okay when we do it". So are you saying as long as these people do what President Trump says then it's all good?
If I pretend I am compromised, and need certain things to remain secret at all costs, it does not square with me why anyone would chose to antagonize the one person with all the information. And I don't say that meaning these people are not compromised and did nothing wrong, only that it makes no sense.
I can sort of get what you are meaning, if I consider dems doctored or fabricated a bunch of stuff about epstein while it was in their possession. For sure blackmail seems to be a mutual destruction kind of thing.
I don't know, using horrific crimes and the promise to keep them secret, does not seem like a whitehat move to me.
I'm in this same boat. I'm even fine with using the blackmail temporarily but I still want justice ffs. We're a year into the second term now and barreling towards the midterms with no arrests and none of the Epstein stuff released. It's not a good look.
I think that the compromised people realize that their only course of action at this point is to try to stop Trump at any cost. They know Trump has the receipts and that he will play the Trump card when he’s damn good and ready.
