So, I remembered this morning that Ivermectin is supposed to be now OTC in Texas where I live. I visited a CVS and Walgreens with both of them stating that they do not have any. CVS employee stated that CVS is choosing to continue to adopt a Rx only for Ivermectin per Federal Policy. Walgreens employee mentioned that “they” have not sent us any yet.
This is beyond infuriating. If anyone has had any success getting Ivermectin OTC in Texas (Houston area), let me know.
I haven't tried to get Ivermectin yet.
I wouldn't have expected Walgreens or CVS to carry it. THEY are part of the problem.
I would try HEB pharmacy. They will most likely carry it. If not, then Kroger pharmacy. The HEB would be more likely to carry Ivermectin behind the counter.
Try independent pharmacies and/or a compounding pharmacy

Wonder if you searched, "What pharmacies have in stock Ivermectin OTC" or something like that, what it would show.
Wondering if there are some smaller, mom & pop type pharmacies that might carry.
I have Ivermectin through other means in the past as described in the comments, but the fact that it is still not OTC is my personal frustration given a policy is now in effect.
Yes...I beyond frustrated, too! We have a Rx from our Naturopathic Doctor but was looking forward to it being cheaper when this bill passed in Texas.
We NEED for Ivermectin to be ON THE SHELF
Yes, ivermectin is available over the counter at pharmacies in Texas without a prescription as of December 4, 2025. This is due to the passage of House Bill 25, which allows pharmacists to dispense the medication upon request, similar to how pseudoephedrine is handled. Key Details Availability: You can obtain ivermectin from a licensed pharmacist in Texas without a doctor's prescription. Process: The medication is kept behind the pharmacy counter. A pharmacist will discuss potential side effects and perform a drug-interaction check before dispensing it to ensure safety. Pharmacist Discretion: The law states that pharmacists "may" dispense the drug, meaning some individual pharmacies might choose not to carry or dispense it. It is recommended to call your local pharmacy first to confirm their policy. FDA Status: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not approved ivermectin for treating or preventing COVID-19. The FDA warns that large doses can be dangerous and potentially cause serious side effects, including liver and brain issues. Intended Use: Ivermectin is an FDA-approved prescription drug for humans for specific parasitic infections, such as intestinal roundworms, head lice, and skin conditions like rosacea. It is also widely used as an anti-parasitic for livestock.
“Large doses can be dangerous…” That can be said of aspirin , Tylenol and ibuprofen … even alcohol.
I know this isn’t near you, but you might be able to get some through the mail? https://www.forestparkpharmacy.com/ivermectin
I’ll try in my area this week, I’m south of you, and will let you know if I find any pharmacies that carry it. You’ll still have to ask for it at the counter - like we do Sudafed.
Doesn’t answer your question, but right2try inc has it with fast shipping.
I am also in the Houston area. I have not pursued this, but instead of the Blackrock controlled pharmacies, try one of the small compounding pharmacies near you.
Wow...before covid Walgreens had ivermectin otc.
Then gone. Friend had to get it to visit india with her passport!
Creepy deep state goonies continue to undermine the people’s access to Ivermectin!
The X-22 report normally starts with an ad with how you can get Ivermectin online.
