It's that simple.

Being tarred, feathered, drawn and quartered makes a statement that says, "We your behavior is NOT ALLOWED." This physical and humiliating response causes everyone to understand that. It's not about the criminal. It's not about taking out the trash. Hanging is sufficient for that. This type of violence is about helping to prevent the weeds from coming back. I now think this is a perfectly fitting punishment for this level of crime.
