Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.

Anyone save that funny meme of Don Lemon sitting on PDitty’s lap in a prison yard? If so I want a copy!
Random thing:
Tulsi's redemption arc in my mind is a thing of beauty.
I don't know if I'll ever fully trust anyone that was part of the D Machine, but she's probably the closest I would.
LEGO has a Penguin related Gift with Purchase at their Shop.
It is Valentine's related, but you have to wonder if the White Hats have taken over the country.
Catherine O’Hara, ‘Schitt’s Creek’ and ‘Home Alone’ Star, Dies at 71. 😥
During the years SCTV was "competing" with SNL, O'Hara proved why SCTV was by far the better comedy show.
SNL suffered from always wanting to be "cool."
SCTV was only concerned with being FUNNY. And they ALWAYS were

Oh man i miss the show Killjoys
Don Lemon, going down!
Overnight flash crash on silver and gold, down 11% and 5% respectively. Notably, GSR is still under 50.
Just a shame that bankers feel the need to do this so transparently, but it certainly shows they are very afraid.

What’s your secret to living life successfully in the cold? I have the upmost respect for anyone that lives in a cold, snow and ice climates. For myself the biggest issue is I don’t have the proper clothes for cold weather. Growing up I had a great winter wardrobe. Plus I fall easy, nothing to do with being older, I’ve always had this problem. Here we go again with ❄️🥶 Drip, drip, drip the water. Most of us only make that mistake once.
Better gear or more layers is key. I regularly go out in subzero temps. Marino wool socks and long underwear, shirt, hoodie, winter jacket... the trick is to overdo it, better to be sweating and take off a layer, once you're cold it's difficult to reverse without shelter and heat.
Plastic windows for extra panes and solar gain and hang thick blankets after dark. Seal all drafts or just install a wood stove and keep a ton of firewood on hand like I do. My next project will be a woodfired hot tub.
Great tips. Hopefully this cold spell is gone soon. I saw a meme style video today talking about people in the south trying to keep warm with their thickest sweatshirt. It wasn’t exaggerating. Many people wear shorts and flip flops or crocs in the winter here. I will wear shorts and flip flops in the winter but not at 45 & below degrees. I have on socks in the house still at 10:30. That’s unusual for me. We just aren’t adapted to cold weather as much as we were growing up. I don’t have a lot of warm weather clothes because I’m hot natured we usually have mild winters. I saw a video of Jim Cantor in Duck NC on the outer banks. At least he’s not in my county. I’m praying the forecasters get it wrong. My house was built in 1946 & had 2 chimneys. We closed them up because they were so old. One was in the kitchen for wood cookstove & one in living area was replaced with old gas heater. We are talking about putting in a wood stove. Our house is very small, we do have an unused corner that would work. I grew up with a wood stove in 70s. I liked it but the rest of the house was freezing. Would be great for emergencies. I’m interested in the wood fired hot tub. I had a hot tub about fifteen years and the bottom finally rotted. We had rebuilt the motor several times. I was going to get another one until we priced them. $10,000.00 for the smallest ones is a bit steep.
A tip from a native New Englander about dressing for the cold. Very simple ...... layers! It is 0 degrees here this am and I have a tee shirt, a long sleeve shirt, and a sweatshirt on. If I got outside I will put on a sweater and then my coat and will be nice and toasty;) Stay warm pedes!
Thanks, I believe in layers. I wore a long sleeve shirt & Sherpa type coat. Every time I got in a store, coat came off. Eventually I left coat in the truck. I get bad hot flashes. That’s probably why I don’t have good winter clothes. I’m going out today & wearing my one pair of thick socks. As a kid my mom made us wear long johns under our clothes. I hated it, but I know it worked. It’s 25 here, weather app says feels like 18. Snow coming in tonight and frostbite temps next two days. I’ll be inside! In the south are crippled with winter precipitation. You stay warm fren.
You ever been tested for MS ? My wife fell alot all her life. When it started messing with her eyes she was given an MRI . She has MS. Now that she is on meds she doesn't have any problems with it.
Hi, after doing research I possibly could have MS. Thank you for saying something. I watched a video with someone who has MS & a doctor who is a leading carnivore expert/influencer. It was very enlightening. Many say carnivore has cured them of multiple illnesses and conditions. I’ve been mostly carnivore two years. I feel much better probably from weight loss. I have not strict 100% of the time and I’m not healed. Starting Monday I’m going to do thirty days strict. At this point I don’t know if I’m going to ask my doctor. Seems like they just want to give you meds & not try to understand how to cure you. Thanks again
I hope not. My wife swears by essential oils. And she buys multi vitamins from them. She does Ocrevis infusions every 6 months at $40,000 each time. There are side effects, like breast cancer. But so far no problems. I will pray for your good health.
I just watched the update (on her health) last night. I’m sure I watched it in the last years. I’m going to rewatch the first episode. Sharing in case your wife is interested. He has several videos toxins in foods, lies by medical industry and big pharma. Several videos are very long, talking about this, but very informative. He does a lot of research. If you find that interesting check out (no carb life) YouTube account. Dr Chaffee is on Spotify & may be on other platforms. Mentioned because some people don’t like YouTube.

I have used essential oils about 15 years. I haven’t used them as much in the last three years because I have a three year old granddaughter & new grandbaby. I keep them there days a week and don’t want to use around them. Also we adopted my daughter’s dog because he’s older and has health problems, it was too much on her and family. He’s sensitive to smells.
I take several supplements and herbs. Once I get back into carnivore I shouldn’t need them. I’ll keep them going until I’m better. My first goal is to get off medication.
I’m glad she’s got MS under control and has a plan. Tell her to look into recipe or blend of essential oils for the breast. I don’t know if this works. Years ago I was in several essential oil groups on Facebook. Many women would share recipes for this. I think it breaks down any potential cancer. Also research the risks of breast biopsies and mammograms. If you can’t find anything, ask me, I can probably find information.
Thank you for your kindness and prayers. I’ll include your wife in mine. Take care fren.
Thank you so very much. I will share this with my wife. Her doctor seemed to be disappointed she was doing so well, they accused her of taking vitamin B. It is probably in her multi vitamins. That tells me it must counter react with the poison in the infusions ? I told her keep it up. She works with autistic kids, so maybe she has a guardian angel ?
Sadly, I’m not surprised how doctors react. The lady in the video links mentioned liquid vitamin D (don’t remember which D). Also another vitamin. I think she goes to naturopathic doctor. I probably should, I’m rural and most are in larger cities. Blessings to you & her.
No I haven’t been tested. I don’t know much about MS. I’m glad she’s doing well. Thanks for the tip. I have seen a pain management doctor fifteen years. Since 1998 I’ve had fibromyalgia, chronic pain, arthritis, osteoarthritis. I’m much better than I was back then. I’ve learned how to manage it.
Glad you are doing well. I too am doing pain management. 25 years since I slipped on ice and injured my back. You seem to have enough going on to explain you falling alot. Good quality long John's is how I deal with the cold. Farm To Feet wool socks and layers of clothing. Canadian packs ear muffs. It takes a lot of expense to be a construction worker in Wyoming. Hand & feet warmers also.
I'm a Phoenix native, but I now live in the snowy mountains of Japan. Incidentally, it's snowing today, but the snowflakes just kind of flutter around indecisively, unsure if they want to fall to the ground. I hate snow. A couple of years ago I was walking across a parking lot where the snow had melted and then refroze, creating an icy coating. I'm clumsy too, and I slipped and fell. I had a fracture on my tailbone.
I wear thermal undershirts. Those help out a lot. And I am now finishing month 4 of using artemisia/sweet wormwood. In Nov/Dec influenza A swept through my workplaces, and now it's influenza B's turn. I haven't gotten sick yet. Meanwhile, all the vaxxed people keep getting sick. Makes me glad I'm a right-wing conspiracy nut.
That sounds beautiful. I love seeing snow and have great memories playing in it as kid. My mom got us snow boots and bibs every year. It snowed a lot when we were kids. I’m not pro climate change, but it’s definitely different now than in the 70s. Just change in weather patterns, not the climate change bs. In the late 90s the El Niño pattern made it very warm in November and December. I’m ready for 80 degrees. Knock on wood I haven’t been sick. * right-wing conspiracy nut* Oh yeah, I’m so happy I’m in this club.
Well, the heat island effect is certainly real. As the concrete and asphalt increases as well as human activity, the average temperature in the city will rise. In just my experience in the '80s, we saw more ice when we were surrounded by empty plots. Once the square mile was developed with housing, we didn't see ice as often. We no longer lived on the edge of town.
Today felt like a turning point at work. I work with busy young moms that keep up with NOTHING. Today they talked about “all the stuff going down.” The sheep are starting to wake and I couldn’t be more happy.
Turning point? Like TPUSA?
Ah, didn’t think about that. I’m old school. We used the term before it became a “thing”.
That’s great!
Lately I'm thinking it's less like herding the sheep and more like freeing slaves.
Love this scenario.

I just watched that movie for the first time.
