Is it tho? If Texas and Florida can redraw their maps, shouldn’t California be allowed to do the same? If Congress can stop sitting on their thumbs long enough to pass the SAVE act, in the long run it won’t matter.
Those extra 5 seats will come in lovely once ICE starts their deportations in California. Vance will be chairman of fraud in California, ice deportations, and a plethora of military personnel scattered through out the state will definitely destroy one of the democrats strongholds

they got rid of all the "safe" democrat seats to do it. all those seats are way easier to contest now. it's mostly up for grabs.
I'd trust the newly added Republican reps from TX and FL before I trusted the 5 Republican reps that will be eliminated from CA.
Seems like a winning compromise to me.
Technically speaking the only reason why they're doing this is because of Texas redrawing their maps, and also voter suppression. They want less power for the people and more to them, so they can have the final say in everything.
Texas and Florida are redrawing their maps to counteract gerrymandering and to reflect revised demographics.
California is just straight up gerrymandering their state.
