Good. Saves a gallon or two of gas per year but produces how much wear and tear on starters and batteries?! I bought a used car with this feature last year and was shocked to see on the dash display just how little effect it had on fuel consumption over the lifetime of the vehicle thus far.

I didnβt watch the video, but Iβm curious, now that this is being announced and you happen to have your car in for service. Can you have the dealer permanently disable it?
They didn't mention that so we'll need to check..
I did a little online research and they basically said that dealers cannot disable something that already exists because it violates the current tampering laws. So not unless they specifically create legislation to allow dealers to disable this it will probably only affects new vehicles.
