According to Alabama law, the age of consent is 16, the older person cannot be more than 2 yrs older than the 16 yr old (so, 18 is the max age a person can be to date a 16 yr old), and a 16 yr old cannot legally date anyone younger than 12. (That's an odd age gap.)
Also, the legal age of marriage in AL is 16...with parental consent. It is illegal to marry anyone, or attempt to marry anyone under the age of 16.
So, how is it not a capital crime to rape or torture someone between the ag s of 12 and 16?!
With all the Epstain info coming out even with the redacted names of the ultra wealthy, famous, and/or powerful people involved, I think we can safely surmise why.
As a society, we deserve whatever punishment God deems necessary and/or appropriate for continuing to allow sick and depraved people to do sick, vile, and depraved things to us and our children without any fear of repercussions.
