I believe the only way to solve the political problem we have in this country is to enforce the law and arrest and try the corrupt, powerful people actively trying to destroy us. We can't arrest those with different political opinions than us simply because we disagree. That would make us no better than them. What we can do is enforce the law. That would take out half of the enemy right there. America cannot survive while there is a protected class of people who do anything they want, regardless of the law. I do not care about whatever consequences there might be. Whatever they are, it can't be worse than the total destruction of our way of life.
Trump wants to go after the people who are currently doing these bad deeds and those that will do them in the future.
Getting bogged down by going after past crimes may feel good, but is mostly symbolic when you can expose them on the world stage with relatively few resources used while using the few real resources we have to fight the here and now.
