I am certainly more open to the possibility and agree it seems more likely now than most times throughout history. However every generation has a whole group of people who are wholeheartedly convinced that their particular time on this Earth is the End Times.
Many of us, no matter how much we might not want to admit it, would have been just as compelled by those claiming to know for sure that it was the end as we are hearing it from someone today. There’s always a long winded, believable sounding story as to why this is the real thing and all the ones before it were false alarms.
Fuck's sake, just get it done already, Can we just plunge society into an ice bath and wake people up at this point?
