The increase in overall prices for goods from China will be felt in the very short term. Next time you take your vehicle in for service just expect to be slapped with unsettling prices. The majority of people are clueless as to how this is going to affect everything they purchase.
Of course the flip side is that there will be an increase in domestic production but just being realistic here, that will not happen overnight. Steel Mills are finally starting to pop up but it will not be fast enough to quell demand, which means the increased prices due to fuel costs and tariffs will just be passed onto the consumer via inflation.
In the long term this will all balance out and eventually the economy will straighten out with the increase in jobs, good paying jobs, which brings along with it all the other service industries around those factories etc. This all takes time, so expect a rather sharp increase on automotive repairs, appliances, building materials, and even some foods.
We truly have fucked ourselves by allowing our "Representatives" to enrich themselves and their buddies over the last 40 years by using epa regulations they voted for in order to drive jobs away. The only way to make America great again is to actually do it and get people back to work with decent paying jobs.
Anyways..... As usual, we will pay the true cost. โ๏ธ ๐ป
I wish he would reset my bank account.
I just want my tax money back, but will settle for half a million, and call it even.
What about a slice of half eaten pizza? With a dash of walnut sauce maybe some grape soda backwash.
