No matter how much you conserve, update and have only energy efficient lights and appliances but electric bills are more then double. 4 years ago electric at .09 vents or less. Now .18 per kw. And every month for the last 4 years tge rate has increased.
IMHO it’s the smart meters and the billing bucket being shared for all the commercials that they gave incentives to.
You need to take away the smart meter. I have my smart meter for 3 months and found the bills double. I took out the smart meter and pay an extra 20 for bill reading and my bill dropped by half.
If you have a smart meter, the energy supplier can charge different rates throughout the day. They will tell you how cheap electricity is overnight, for instance.
What they are not so up-front about is the fact that they might charge you triple the average rate at breakfast time and tea time. As people use the most electricity at peak times (how could they not?) most people could well see their bills increase.
Will anyone in real estate sales actually force people to follow this law? People will simply sell their homes “as is”, with full disclosure that the buyer will have to do upgrades. People will always be able to sell directly to a buyer without a real estate broker or government oversight. Buying and selling will continue on.
I say no to any state I our union to have a law like this. But who am I? Just a citizen who believes that laws like this are completely unconstitutional!
Well Maryland, sitting on East coast, is probably not far from doing it here, so what can I say? The wife and I have to leave this state, moving somewhere else should make life better in another state. Hopefully.
Yeah, I guess we have to live with it. Although the criminals should have to live with it NOW! We should be done living with it, as enough of our money was stolen.
If you hear about stupid laws and or regulations. It seems like 9 times out of 10 it’s either a local or State Law

Wondered how it will be enforced? Title company?
This should be challenged in Federal Court, but because it's WA, whoever the judge would be would probably rule in favor of the govt.
