This kind of shit really turns people off from using social media. There are these mods, mod alt accounts, and mod-adjacents that form a kind of boys club where the mods are kingmakers for select accounts, boosting them, stickying them disproportionatley, and letting them post controversial stuff, but YOU cannot. It's antidemocratic. How about a website with no mods??
Perceived unfairness makes people angry. Some algo thought what I was posting was racist, even though all I did was post ZH without changing the title. So on this site, I posted the video instead (since article is nothing but an op ed wrapper for the video), with the title that came with it.
Why worry about that as long as the information gets out? Don’t stress out about how many clicks you get. 👍🏻
IQ tests are interesting. One issue is that they all rely on some sort of knowledge while they pretend that they don't. If you don't have that knowledge then you will not be able to answer the question.
If you do not know enough words then you might struggle to find the odd word in a list. If you have not learnt any maths then finding the next number in the series will be hard. If you have not learnt any basic geometry then questions about shapes may be confusing.
I took an IQ test in 3rd grade that didn't require any prior knowledge. It was matching shapes and similar questions. They were all multiple choice. The moderator explained to us how it worked. I breezed through it. I was one of two students in 3rd grade to take that test. I recently ordered a copy of all my school and college transcripts, and I got a really high IQ score on that test.
All IQ tests I've taken or seen since that one do require prior knowledge. It was the same with the SAT tests. Since the schools in my area didn't teach calculus, I had no idea about the calculus questions. I just drew on my blank paper and even tore out triangles to get to a guess close enough to choose the correct answer. I got the highest score in my multi-county area that year.
I took IQ test the summer before 9th grade for GT. It was both standard knowledge - math, reading, etc - and abstract - what do you see when you look at this picture?
The last one I took for a lawsuit was knowledge based only.

Because I can learn anything and pay attention to detail, I have inspected million-dollar yachts and proofread legal documents. I retired at 50, one of my life goals. I have written a number of specialized books and am currently (over 20 years later) working on a second edition of a book for a billionaire. He pays plenty for me to play on my computer a few hours a week. I work when I feel like it. I have several more books in the works.
I have the largest private library in the area and probably one of the largest record collections in the area. I'm sure my record collection is the most eclectic, as I have records of all types, except rap crap.
I built my current computer from a shopping cart full of parts I bought years ago.

Yes and No. Years ago there was a comprehensive study done where they placed children of a lower IQ race into the households of a higher IQ family who adopted the children and raised them as their own. They also took some high IQ Asian children and put them in a lower echelon IQ family. After a number of years, the scientists retested the children.
To the scientists surprise, the children of higher IQs raised in lower IQ household still scored just as high on the achievement tests.
Likewise, the low IQ children who were placed and raised in a high IQ household with all the privileges, scored no higher on the tests than their impoverished counterparts in their home countries.
So, based on this, there is a genetic component that cannot be overcome by environment, schooling and diet choices.
Even so they are useful general indicators of success in the society that created them.
I do enjoy learning about the tests used during early childhood, trying to measure innate intelligence even before the ability to read. Those are fascinating, and very indicative.
i read recently, that the IQs in European Schools dropping. When you have to conduct your classes to go at the speed of the lowest IQs,. Your next Generations are going to be robbed of the proper education.
That's because the percentage of Whites in those schools has been dropping.
this very thing happened in the 1950's-60's elementary school...no special ed classes, no advanced classes, so everything was taught at the level of the dumbest kids in class...it was distressing for the higher IQ kids, and schools wasted the opportunity for smarter kids to learn at their own level...there was no pre-k, k or anything other than first grade being the start of education...at least this was my school experience...
I started kindergarten in 1971 lol.
I went to a catholic elementary school, that advertised their "advanced" classes. I hated that school, lol. When I finished, I wanted to go to public school. I was tested for GT there, and my parents discovered how not "advanced" my education had been.
I started school in the 1st grade. There were no advanced classes the entire time I was in school, but there was a special class. It had slow kids and handicapped kids all lumped together in one classroom for the entire area. Now the schools are loaded with special classrooms. There are many more "special" students per capita. One special teacher I knew said she would never be out of a job. Two specials having babies didn't result in normal ones. And nothing was ever done to stop this from happening.
At least when I was in high school, we were grouped according to our grades for most classes. I was somehow put in the dumb geometry class, where I got all A's, and most others in the class failed. Most of my math, science, and English classes were grouped properly. It was a lot more challenging than grammar school was.
Like you, I took an IQ test early on. They didn't tell us what it was. I scored very high (genius level).
Math always came easy to me, for some reason.
In 5th grade, our math teacher died during the year, and they brought in a substitute, who was not good at math. She often asked me if she was doing the problem on the blackboard the right way (lol).
By 7th grade, I was the top math student in the top math class in the top school district in the top state of the union. They were an advanced school district trying out new ideas. Those of us in the highest level math class were learning calculus in 7th grade.
In 8th grade, my family moved to a different state, which was decent overall, but a smaller town that did not have the resources or vision.
First day, 8th grade math teacher introduced me to the class (we moved mid-year), then had me go into his office to take a math test to evaluate where I was.
I breezed through the test in about 2 minutes. I aced it. He was shocked. He then left and came back with another test for me. I took that one, and aced it very quickly, too.
He was almost speechless. He said the first test was the 8th grade final exam, and the second test was the 12th grade final exam.
He said I already knew everything they would teach me in their school district through 12th grade, but math was required by the state, so I had to take their low-level math classes.
Did not learn anything in math until college (and not even then, really). But I got all A's. Easy peasy.
I found out years later that the school told my parents I should enroll in some college courses, but it was not in the budget.
It sucks for kids who struggle to be in classes with smarter kids, but it also sucks for smarter kids to be stuck in meaningless classes with other kids.
Public education is more destructive than it is advantageous.
ALL education should be private and/or home school so kids can learn at their own pace.
I went to a private school in 1st grade and then moved to public school because we moved out of town. The private school said they would have let me skip 2nd grade and possibly more later on. I could have been through with high school by the age of 12 or 13. But I would have had a harder time in college because of my age. As it was, I started college at 17.
All the poisons that we are fed, injected with, added to air & water, it’s a wonder we have any IQ at all!

I read about research that was done a few years ago. They wanted to find out why blacks are more likely to get certain illnesses, such as sickle cell anemia.
They hypothesized that maybe it had something to do with differences in hormone levels. They assumed -- blindly -- that blacks had higher levels of testosterone, which might have been a reason.
Nope. The White males actually had slightly higher testosterone levels than the black males, on average. BUT ... the black males had significantly higher levels of estrogen than the White males.
Also, black females had higher levels of both testosterone and estrogen than White females.
This got me thinking: females have higher levels of estrogen than males, and they are much more emotional, in general, than males.
Is it possible that the higher levels of estrogen in black males is a reason why they often cannot control their emotions and act out in violence?
Combine this with another fact: The US military did a long-term study on IQ and military readiness.
They found that anyone with an IQ below 83 is bascially not just worthless (other than as another warm body for cannon fodder) to the overall function of the military, but ANY job given to someone below 83 IQ is actually counter-productive in the mission of the military.
I have also read that people with IQ below 85 cannot grasp the basic concept of identifying with how other people think or feel about anything (they cannot create a "map" of the other person's worldview).
If you combine some of these things together, it explains A LOT.
Blacks, who average around 80 IQ or less, are more likely to commit crimes, more likely to act out emotionally in violence, and less likely to excel at any endevor other than sports, or if they have some unique talent, such as singing.
Even then, another interesting factor comes up. There is/was a guy who kept track of NFL statistics, based on race.
He found that NFL teams that have a higher percentage of White athletes tend to have more success over time than teams with a higher percentage of black athletes.
I saw a clip from a TV show where two NFL Hall of Fame coaches were having a casual conversation while fishing (Jimmy Johnson and Bill Belichick). One asked the other, "What is the one thing you want to see in a football player more than anything else?"
The other answered, "I want players who are smart. Dumb players will get you killed." The other coach agreed.
Finally, testosterone levels and IQ levels explain A LOT about society in general.
Males have around 10 times more testosterone than females. There was a bodybuilding promoter who had both male and female competitions. They evenutally had to cancel the female contest because they found that the females were injecting a lot of exogenous testosterone, and it was destroying their lives because they constantly had sex on the brain (lol).
Testosterone promotes drive -- both sexually and life in general.
As far as IQ, both sexes do roughly the same overall on IQ tests. Males tend to do better in math, while females tend to do better on verbal.
But overall they are similar, with some years either sex doing a little better overall than the other.
HOWEVER ... there is a BIG difference in the DISTRIBUTION.
Females tend to be more similar to each other (middle of the bell curve), while males tend to have more at both extremes.
There are about 10 times more males than females in the genius level of IQ, but also many more males who are really stupid.
If you combine high IQ with high testosterone, you get guys who are CEO's and overall more likely to have certain types of success, which explains why most CEO's are male -- until recent years when DEI idiots have tried to interfere with that.
But high testosterone and low IQ is why you get people going to prison -- and there are about 10 times more males in prison than females.
Also, more blacks per capita than Whites in prison.
^ BTW ... this is why Abraham Lincoln wanted to free the slaves -- AND send them back to Africa. He did not believe we could co-exist, peacefully.
