This is just a IMO theory of mine that started as a comment on a post earlier today that subsequently was deleted because it was a duplicate post. I thought the information to be pertinet and the data points worthy of their own post and discussion.... well, I've failed to notice anyone talking about it as of yet. Feel free to chirp, croak, and freely discuss the notion espoused (see title). 🐸
The Iranian conflict (and Ukraine as well) is one big chain reaction set up to merge LNG into the petro dollar and completely dominate the global markets. The following are very easily provable data points leading up to the present day:

Pre-Ukraine, RUS supplies majority of EURO LNG.

Nordstream is terror attacked. Now US is primary seller of LNG to EUR.

Use UKR proxy to attack RUS tankers in the Mediterranean.

Knock out Venezuela eliminating majority of foreign bought LNG from Western hemisphere.

Qatari & Saudi production and distribution halted, eliminating 30%+ of China's LNG import sources.

POTUS signed EO stating by 2029 at least 1% of all GCC LNG must be carried by US made vessels. Forcing everyone to buy US made ships.

USN now available on rent for security escorts for anyone wanting to pay the vig.

Next, take control of Greenland which will further hinder RUS Arctic ships.

Norway is not currently a factor as it is already at max capacity and dealing mostly locally within Scandinavia.
This is why LNG and crude oil is not down, but up in the stock markets. They (ExxonMobil, et al) know exactly what's coming and that's complete US domination of the energy markets. Everyone except for RUS will be forced to either buy US energy, buy US vessels for transport of fuel, and/or pay the USN to insure their cargo. It's a triple threat win and either really damn smart or dastardly extortion depending on how you look at it. This coming winter would be an excellent time to buy into the Euro because I would bet my boots that it will crash to counter buying & investing in USD to purchase their enormous energy requirements.
Just my brain craving crayons while working today. Maybe it's all just dumb luck and coincidence, but I'd guess that's probably not the case. Look for more energy cause/effect habbenings to coalesce in the near future with the data points provided.
I suggest that hydrocarbons are already dead.
On the left, people have been taught to believe that "electric is the future, and oil is Imminently murdering humanity." On the right, people have been taught to believe that "electric is a fraud, and hydrocarbons are perfectly fine."
Those paying attention realize "energy" is ALREADY free. "Free energy" isn't just a meme, it's how the "physical" universe works on the most fundamental level. Quite literally everything shows that (past, present and future physics, past, present, and future engineering, technology, etc.).
This "need for energy" is what is the contrivance. "Solar," "wind," "Oil," "Coal," etc., they are nothing but Controlled Opposition.
These current conflicts are not about energy, that is the pretext. That is The Show. Whether it be "hot fusion," "cold fusion," "thorium (fission)," or even extraction of energy from the "vacuum" (which isn't a vacuum at all, but a massive pool of energy, possibly infinite), all roads lead to the same result. The cost of energy will be close enough to zero as to be effectively free (when compared to it's current economic burden).
The only hindrance to that realization, that inevitability, is the revelation of the hidden knowledge we already have. How long will that take? At the current rate of disclosure since Jan. 2026, I suggest within this year the entire "energy world" will change completely. "Oil" will be what you buy when you need to cook your steak or lube your chain. Otherwise it will be useless.
We appear to be doing a "quick pivot" to nuclear, but flooding hydrocarbons in the meantime allows quick, reliable energy for rapid economic growth that will be 100% per year in some cases. And hydrocarbon infrastructure being built out as permanent backup to nuclear. Likely sequence is: 1. oil & nat gas (2026-7), 2. new fission plus SMRs (2027-8), 3. fusion tech plus SMRs (2028-9), 4. beamed energy from space (2030).
"free energy devices" will NOT be for the normies and corporations. Only for "woo people" willing to try it out and share with each other to mine "free Bitcoin" and run highly profitable small businesses with "proprietary secret advantage".
I suggest that is false. The problem is, "free energy" has been purposefully and carefully crafted as "a violation of the laws of physics," used as a Conspiracy Theory (CIA/DOD op), to keep people from understanding what Reality is (and what it is not).
The energy that drives the system (our "universe") is infinite (or effectively infinite in scope?). Every piece of physics shows that. Look at QED e.g. Look into "renormalization." Look at what the people who created QED had to say about how shitty of a model it was. Look at the numerous frauds of their experiments (I can find the link if your interested). Look into what Feynman, Dirac, Einstein, or Schrodinger had to say about it (not to mention Tesla, who was on a whole different level entirely).
Look at investigations into extraction of energy from the ground state of the hydrogen atom (which is assumed to be the smallest amount of energy possible in that domain). If you can extract energy from the "ground state" to a lower state (which we know exists, but is "inaccessible" according to the dogma of the model), the electron would immediately go back to the ground filling up the ground state from the vacuum energy, thus, "free energy".
Look into how every single physics model (Lagrangian, Hamiltonian, GR, QM, etc.) sets the "potential" to zero from "negative infinity" to make the models work. What we call "potential energy" is a thing that CAN'T BE MEASURED. We "measure" potential energy ONLY by measuring movement (or "kinetic energy* if you prefer) and then assume what the potential energy HAD TO BE to make the model work.
According to every single experiment or even model, there aren't any "zero energy" states in the universe. We have SET MODELS TO ZERO TO BE USEFUL FOR ENGINEERING, even though everything suggests there is no actual "zero energy" state anywhere.
Actually dig into the evidence of the hidden systems. The world isn't going to go into the plan you suggest because it is based on physics that is purposefully put in a box. That realization is already coming out. It won't be long now.
I'm not saying free energy is not real. I'm saying explaining it to normies is not worth your time. Just build it and ignore them. I'm working on my tower now to power my Bitcoin miner. If I can raise enough money, I will have a tethered balloon with energy capture devices running a factory in 3 years at very low utility cost.

I have been able to get the concept accepted by many normies when I suggest that everything vibrates & if we could simply get tools sensitive enough to capture those vibrations, we should be able to get energy from those vibrations.
They don't think we will have that ability to harvest for a long time, if ever, but they recognize that the vibrations & energy is there & it acts as a seed to help them wake up.
What is this below-ground-state of the hydrogen atom that you refer to that is lower in energy than the "1s" ground state solution of quantum mechanics? I have not heard of such a thing before. Does it have a precise emission/absorption frequency that can be located on a diffraction spectrum?
Excellent questions. Unfortunately I haven't dug into this as much as other "fringe" (or "pseudo") science, but I can provide some evidence and/or further digging.
But to get there, I first have to begin with my cold fusion story because it provides important context (in a broader scope).
When I first learned physics, one of my closest teachers was a professor of both my school (a state school) and Stanford. She was well known and was deeply involved in the field of experimental physics. Indeed, she was part of the Gravity Probe B project, not to mention SLAC. Because of that, I got to see Gravity Probe B being made, and I learned a great deal about how "physics" was done, not to mention the specifics of "real" experimental physics.
She was a great teacher (all things considered). Because of my close personal relationship with all the great teachers I had (I was considered a "star pupil," so they bent over backwards for me), and the "real" physics education I had, it provided reasons for me to believe Cold Fusion was "clearly debunked."
This was around 1995/96 (iirc).
Then, around 2010, I revisited Cold Fusion because of the claims of Andrea Rossi. I didn't expect anything more than "research flaws." Instead, I found claims I couldn't discount easily. It was far from certain, and there were reasons to doubt the claims, but for whatever reason, I dug deeper. As it turns out, CF never died. On the contrary, there were thousands of legitimate papers, addressing and experimentally proving false ALL of the "debunkings" on it. There were even numerous working systems from unassailable research institutions (see Peter Hagelstein e.g., though there are many others). The amount of evidence of CF itself (if not Rossi specifically) was absolutely overwhelming.
I couldn't see how "science" could possibly decry CF given all of the evidence. I knew science couldn't possibly be "controlled," it was organic and dynamic, so there must be some other reason. I couldn't understand what that reason was, but it had to be that way, because "science was organic." It wasn't until I found overwhelming other evidence that I realized that our world is controlled on every level. That evidence, and the resulting realization, overcoming my cognitive dissonance, allowed me to dig into why agents (and institutions/systems) in our world had hidden the evidence (on all parts of science, not just CF). That investigation led me to understand how it was done, who had done it, and why.
I had uncovered a system so insidious and so complete, that I realized I had been a True Believer of a purposefully and carefully crafted provably false religion.
That doesn't mean "science is false." On the contrary, mostly it's true (though there are some provable frauds in there that still persist to this day). But the amount left out, or "selectively edited to tell a false story" is overwhelming once you dig in. My teacher had taught me that "CF was debunked" not because she was malicious or stupid, but because she had been taught that herself, by a system designed to craft the Religion through a system of "the highest level of experts." Each Priest gets their marching orders from the Pope, and trains the adoring pupils, who become the next generation of Priest. All false, started, paid for, and controlled by the same entity more than a century before, all made using (mostly) the truth, in a smaller (selective) scope.
It isn't supported by QM, that's the point, but QM is just a model, it isn't Reality itself. Indeed, there are numerous possible mathematical models, some completely divorced from each other (see "pilot wave theory" as just one example of many) that provide all (or nearly all) of the same (within the margin of error) experimental results.
Again, I haven't dug into this enough to support it, or even explain the model sufficiently to make any claims of its validity, but I can show you were to begin.

The last link is "Chapter 9." I picked that one because when scanning it, it seemed to address the question specifically. I am not a fan of this "book," at least what I've scanned so far. The first two chapters were far too defensive to be useful, and made them look bad (frankly, it looks very "Controlled Opposition"y to me). But I think it may be comprehensive. It might be better to dig into the original work by the author of the papers (Randell L. Mills).
Regardless, the fact that there is a (probably infinite) well of energy "below" the "ground state" isn't really controversial. On the contrary, that is the fundamental premise of QM (and the source of our ideas of "Vacuum Energy"). That well of energy is the reason (from the framework of QM) that the "electron doesn't degrade in it's atomic orbit." That gap, between "ground" and (I guess) fusion (or the Neutron) is potentially usable (and self-fulfilling from the vacuum).
The "Hydrino Theory" suggests that energy is extractible. It also provides a mathematical model and (apparently a lot of) experimental evidence that supports it. There is even a company that suggests it is making such a system broadly available. That company is called Brilliant Light Power. It was formerly BlackLight Power, which suggests (based on unrelated reasons) that it may have been subverted, but who knows.
Edit: I just had a thought.
One of the theories of CF is that an electron (in the Deuterium in a Palladium lattice) turns into a Muon which makes a Muon-proton pair (Deuterium-Muon pair) which reduces the overall size of the pair. This (according to the hypothesis) allows for two D-Mu pairs to fuse to He4 (there becomes enough space in the Palladium lattice, and reduces the required energy for fusion). That would (presumably) also happen if instead of a Mu, it becomes a *smaller" D atom (D-Hydrino pair).
Just a thought.
