From his own point of you, he might be doing what he thinks is right, but someone behind him would be manipulating his thinking. Same with every other influencer. Even those apparently on our side. Anyone can turn anytime and pivot anywhere. because nothing we see is organic.
But of course, WHs understand this and they manipulate the manipulaters. They want to use Tucker to turn Maga against each other? Instead they use this manipulated Tucker to hunt down moles and pass fake intel, and sometimes even use the apparent division in Maga as way to lull the enemy into complacency while making other moves behind the scenes.
Those with eyes to see, can catch small glimpses and get awed at the intricacy of moves and counter moves.

I am not sure if you are following Candace/Tucker etc, but they slowly started with the "Israel is Evil" to "Trump is a Zionist puppet attacking Iran only because he has been blackmailed by Israel with Epstein Files". Thats what we mean by turning "maga against each other"
It’s working. My brother voted for Trump and now he hates him, thinks he’s a fraud. That he’s a puppet for Israel, thinks Kash Patel is also a fraud because he’s not getting to who really killed Charlie Kirk, pissed no one’s been arrested regarding Epstein. He’s gone so far as to think the Q movement is akin to Trust from USSR where they coordinated an opposition to weed out and kill whoever is part of the resistance.

Everything is lined up for midterms - my guess is that in time for the midterms not only a lot of fog will clear but we will see some October surprise. I think this confusion was very necessary for whatever happened during the last 3-4 weeks. Just like in the past, we will find out exactly what else Trump pulled off under their noses only in future.
Ok. Well I can’t really blame anyone for wondering what to think about Trump given his interactions with Israel, but it sure doesn’t seem to be hurting him in the polls. His approval rating within MAGA has actually gone up during this apparent maga civil war you’re talking about so even if some are worried about Trump’s relationship with Israel it doesn’t seem to be swaying them from their support of him so what’s the problem exactly?
As I mentioned in my original comment, they sure wanted to use Tucker and co to hurt MAGA, but I didn't say it succeeded. If given more time, it might have worked, but clearly the WHs allowed it to run its course and now pulling the plug.
I do not pay attention to the news but a fraction as much as I used to, but the rifts are pretty clear. Lots of "conservatives / maga" are viciously attacking Candace Owens, Tucker & more.

We may be bickering about whose side Candace and Tucker, etc. are really on but support for Trump is only climbing through all of this. It’s certainly not changing who any of us are voting for. So it’s whatever to me.

This is such a good point. A skilled manipulator wouldn’t need to threaten “influencers” with shady things from their past. The key is to approach these influencers with information that feeds their primary psychological traits.
I still believe there are more than a handful of “influencers” who are knowingly being paid to present a certain narrative. My impression is the more a person comes across as a caricature, the more likely they are paid controlled opposition.
I will close with one point that occasionally crosses my mind ever since Carlson interviewed Vladimir Putin. It just seems very interesting that Putin wanted to make the point that Carlson wanted to work for the CIA. Maybe it was a lever Putin was using to influence Carlson.

For me, it also made me suspect that Carlson's reason for interviewing Putin was not very benign. There is deep state in Russia, and he might have been brought there by one of those.
Now he is pushing the idea that we should have a New World Order with Russia, China and Iran. This is clearly the same kind of attitude as those Sachs, Scott Ritter etc. These people are not paid to push this narrative, they truly sincerely believe CCP will take over the world and they believe they will have big plush positions when it happens/
