Europe has a history of going to war with each other for centuries to the point that there were 2 world wars on the continent in the last century. The only thing that has kept them from repeating that history was the fact that the US has been there to keep a lid on things - and that includes keeping the Russians in check. Russia has already started testing NATO's defense responses with the US being currently engaged in the ME. Good luck handling Russia and China on your own.
Lol. European Defense Spending is only surging because Trump publicly insulted our ‘allies’ and made allusions to not holding to Article 5. Because of how weak and impotent they are. Even then it’s projected by even their most generous estimates to still be a Decade plus before their capabilities meaningfully improve due to increased spending.
European Unity is a myth the EU wants to pretend is real to justify its own existence. Otherwise it wouldn’t have to continual threaten member states with legal and financial sanctions.
Only a couple European Countries actually have foreign expeditionary capabilities. And even then they have glaring flaws in their logistics that U.S logistics has to make up. At the moment they’re also having to increasingly rely on employing the imports in the Security Forces and Military . Because it turns out Europeans don’t feel much like dying for the EU either
I say we blow the fucking bases up if we leave. Let them rebuild with their own money.
Heh, have Trump announce that we are going to invest in rebuilding all the bases and we need to demo them to do so. Then just leave after the building are in piles of bricks and dust.
What this arrogant Eurofag doesn't seem understand is that this is the whole point to Trump's actions - to make Europe foot the bill for its own defense and if Trump's "bullying" is what it takes to make that happen, then so be it - and he will get Greenland.
