Trump is using the Iran war oil crisis against China while maintaining plausible deniability.
The real target of this blockade IS China.
Almost 40% of all the oil that comes through the Straight of Hormuz goes to China.
That's ~50% of China's total crude oil imports and ~35% of their entire daily oil consumption.
It's a big big deal.
If the United States were suddenly put in a similar, strategically alarming position POTUS has effectively just put China in with this blockade, we would absolutely go to war.
A naval blockade will be averted by the Caspian Sea routes. It has proven to be a safe passage for trade during war times for Iran. Russia sends grain and other goods via the Caspian Sea.
Land routes through Pakistan and Turkmenistan have also proven viable for Iran during war. Karachi currently ships from sea port via land to Iran and in the past broke any sanctions the USA had on Iran.
This is the confirmation that this was all part of the plan that I was waiting for. I feel a lot better now
