Desperately all needed. I worked in executive financial recruiting for awhile. Recruiting VP level and above for Michigan was exceptionally difficult because once out of state talent realized how bad Michigan schools are they'd pump the brakes.
If you miss dozens of days of school then you are not proficient in the mastery of that particular grade you are in, thus you get to repeat the entire grade next year. PERIOD! In my day that was standard practice. Why do we need to coddle the youth of today. Hit them upside of their small cranium with some reality and maybe then they will begin to figure out life.
If they dont get educated then they can become bums. No government assistance! You made your bed, either make it in the morning like a responsible person should or leave it messy and deal with the consequences.
Trying to beat inflation? Or pay off things they made bad buying decisions to acquire. New car…fancy phone…cable/fiber tv…not required for life. But suck a ton of cash from the income side of the ledger.
Face it. Public school is to indoctrinate your kids to go against freedom. We are the last generation that remembers freedom from before. Sof we do t win now it is over.
Have you seen a math book lately? I have never seen a more worthless convoluted pile of crap in my life! Instead of 2+2 =4 they travel the world and confuse The kids memorize nothing. They have no basics because they have iPads it’s horrendous!
How about a raise for quality educators. Experienced teachers salaries have been frozen here for years. New hired teachers start out at equally pay. $40.k
Go woke, go broke… in every way apparently. It appears we have a whole broke generation coming through. It’s a bit unnerving. It’s getting hard to hire good people.
We were doing great in the late 40s and throughout the 50s. And then Communism reached a saturation point in university academics and started pumping out massive numbers of indoctrinated boobs that then permeated our public school systems and the socio-political realm. It's all been downhill for us since. But I don't think we've hit rock bottom yet that would trigger the proverbial pendulum swing back to a more logical and rational way of educating and informing our youth.
We're getting close, but unfortunately I think we still have some room left before getting to that cliff.
The only thing to do is END the public school system. People will homeschool, teachers who love to teach will find a way and teach children who have parents who know the value of education. Teaching in a private tutoring situation they don’t have to accept just anyone. More private schools will open up. Property taxes will be cut, creating funding for Americans send their kids to homeschool or go to private schools.
The thing is Americans must make getting an education great again. Public schools are publicly funded daycares & indoctrination centers. Youth aren’t educated.
Scarcity creates demand. Demand creates VALUE. Demand will create new ways of educating. No Teachers Unions, no groomers, no violent student behaviors. Parents have control.
We must create the demand for a good education instead of functioning public indoctrination day care.
maybe a change back to basics, phonics, ban woke…
many states need this!
Yes, writing, reading, arithmetic, the paddle and accountability on all parties....teacher, student and parent

That’s a crazy connection most people don’t know about. Cesspools don’t attract the best candidates.

Where are the parents?
The parents are at work trying to beat inflation, sadly they lose

I'm sure you remember the biden disaster. We are still living with the results of 30% inflation

The teachers unions are in the way along with the problem of stupid liberals becoming teachers. Military schools are the only way

When I was in grade school I was taught the gazintas:
1 gazinta 1 once
3 gazinta 9 three times
5 gazinta 20 four times
And so on.
Today's kids can't even make change from a dollar.
We learned simple multiplication tables up to 9x9 or more.
How about a change in teacher standards as well?

Unfortunately I think you are right
