In the end, Trump announced a temporary ceasefire, not an end to the war as was expected.
Senior diplomatic sources describe the move as “a historic turning point” marking the beginning of a new regional order.

Reportedly the rumor is the Saudis are preparing for their wells to go dry. Part of why princes have been investing in massive non-oil/energy projects and they’ve been trying to attract foreign companies and jump start domestic industries.
So any pipeline to Israel would have a cap on how long it would be useful.
Saudis are unusually serious... and even offering to have cozy dinners with Israel. Iran's regime has apparently been bullying the Middle East.
