It definitely is. Reminds me of The Ship of Theseus paradox, how many planks of a ship do you have to replace until it's no longer the original ship.

It's not just about stealing their products, there is also the coercion factor.
I'd say going to prison for tax evasion is a pretty hefty coercion factor.
Wage slavery has hurt more people than actual slavery.
And the wage slavery class system is even more oppressive than simply slave and free.
