Yep, The Matrix describes reality as an alien farm, as well. David Icke sees things similarly and says we are in a limited frequency trap. Sometimes I wonder if they are compelled to follow the informed consent requirement of contract law. They inform us in fiction movies and Family Guy cartoons.
I want my glasses to be like the ones we used see as kids in the back page ads of our comic books… the see through woman’s clothes “X-ray” vision ones…. 🫣
The original story is by Ray Nelson, who was a science fiction fan and artist back in the 1940s. As a cartoonist he popularized the propeller beanie as a symbol for science fiction fans.
It is an excellent movie. For a while it was on YouTube in full with no ads or anything. Watched it there and found it unbelievably compelling.
Another one I found at the same time was Kurt Vonnegut's Harrison Bergenon with Sean Astin, which was equally good but for different reasons. Oddly that one is still available for free on youtube: https://youtu.be/G1LE-E_Yn_Q?si=VpxUSvxMBmjQ-nmi
Note the significance of the glasses in the movie.
Note the glasses in my pepe.
There are no coincidences.
Possibly the longest 1 v 1 fight scene in any movie is symbolic of how difficult it is to get someone to see.
"The Matrix is a system, Neo... most of these people are not ready to be unplugged."

Did he make Beanie and Cecil?
No, that was Bob Clampett.
Way cool movie.

Sound familiar?
Wonder where they derived that idea from.
NOW COMES the 'conspiracy' label.
Deeper we go, the more unrealistic it all becomes.

YES!
Was a good movie and looking back you can see how they always show us.
Maybe 99% will go to the hospitals because that's where the evil is.
To me, putting people in the hospital might be to reverse some damage done.
They Live is right up there with The Matrix as a blatant Red-Pill dispenser.
It's fiction used to present reality in a manner people can accept and understand -- when the reality is too horrifying to take directly.
Fun movie!
One of my favorite 80's movies.
And yes, it's more like a disclosure based docu-drama than anything else.
Fantastic film. RIP Rowdy.
I wonder if I can get those gaggles from the military that Cliff is talking about? Is he alive still?
Thanks John! Will watch tonight...
