Another sinister fact about Ireland and our corrupt government / MSM.
We had a free death notice site, called RIP.IE on this site you could post FREE death notices and funeral details. It was a hugely important and popular service, allowing relatives abroad who couldn’t travel to offer condolences etc.
In the middle of Coronahoax ™️ one of the two main MSM monopolies “bought” the site, out of the blue.
They then started to charge excessive amounts to register a death notice. But I’m sure that was just a cohensidence.
Our government gives MSM ~€15m a year in “support”. Nobody was asked, just handed our stolen taxes over to the narrative control agents known as “journalists”.
I'm terribly sorry for your corrupt govt. Over here Buyden had a program where the govt shelled out $36K to Hospitals for each covid death. The hospital often offered $9K to the family of the departed, smh. They like us better dead than alive the bastards.
You've hit upon a "sore point" that's been bothering me for years
You mentioned "Grandma's crystal" and I guess I'm old enough to be that Grandma. What I've noticed (and have been complaining to my daughter about for years) is that luxury items such as crystal, fine China, and actual silverware, are being actively discouraged as "things you don't want" for present generations.
The truth is that the powers that be have stripped the public buying power down to bare minimum so that such items are not easily obtainable by present generations. So they publish magazine articles telling people "you don't want this stuff" so that they won't realize how restricted income has actually become.
I personally think it's atrocious. Having the ability to set a beautiful table at holidays and special occasions is one of the greatest joys of family life.
People should not feel that only "grandma" has these kinds of things. And that we older people will have to kick the bucket before younger people can acquire them through inheritance.
Despite what any indicators of economy tell you (things are getting better) -- the fact that the powers that be are still convincing the young they don't want nice things means they know they can't afford them. It's easier for them to do that than deal with disgruntled citizens.
I agree. I don't think there's anything more welcoming than a beautiful table. And I think the world loses when we discard highly skilled craftsmen. When Lenox moved to China, we lost part of our heritage. When Virginia Metalcrafters and Baldwin shut down its home decor department, we lost what can't be replaced. The classic furniture makers, gone.
It's a tragedy. A skilled craftsman takes a teacher and time.
You make an interesting observation. I can see how the attack on luxury elegance is a special form of the larger attack on beauty itself, in people and things.

But they ain't getting it, thanks to Trump
All the newspapers that Buffett bought stopped doing obituaries in 2018 as well.
Interesting.
Liz Gunn @LizGunnNZ on X:
The most vaccinated place in the world is in Ireland.
It's a place called Waterford.
They had the highest vaccination rate in the world.
Then they suffered the highest Covid rate in Ireland.
And then they had the highest excess deaths.
The local health authority got an award from the World Health Organisation for the way they handled the pandemic.
They had the highest death rate, having had the highest vaccination rate. 85% excess deaths at one stage they were on.
– Andrew Bridgen @ABridgen
If the excess death is a feature, not a bug, the award is properly given.
Waterford. Master cutters. Hang on to your grandma's crystal. It should go up in value. (It's a fact that cheap wine tastes better in a good glass)

And yes! I have Waterford!

Genocide
Mass murder by the globalists in their attempt to push Agenda 2030.
Doctors are still baffled!
