It’s fine as written…those not “…subject to the jurisdiction of…” the USA aren’t eligible to be citizens. They are subject to the jurisdiction of the nation of which they are citizens.
I think the intent of the word subject in the 14th Amendment is being improperly interpreted. Slaves were subjects, they had no rights under the previous laws.
subject to
verb
subjected to; subjected to also subject to; subjecting to; subjects to
1
: affected by or possibly affected by (something)
The firm is subject to state law.
The schedule is tentative and subject to change.
Clothing purchases over $200 are subject to tax.
Anyone caught trespassing is subject to a $500 fine.
2
: likely to do, have, or suffer from (something)
My cousin is subject to panic attacks.
I'd rather not live in an area that is subject to flooding.
3
: dependent on something else to happen or be true
The sale of the property is subject to approval by the city council.
All rooms are just $100 a night, subject to availability.
A Constitutional Convention should likely be a last resort. As there is no necessary guarantee of the results. And that ultimately means everyone and their brother both foreign and domestic is going want their say.
And given we struggle to conduct elections without foreign interference at the moment. A Convention is likely going to have no shortage of extremely wealthy interests trying to influence the outcome. And American politicians whether federal, state, or local aren’t exactly known for refusing bribes.
There is already a sound argument in favor of a third run (I will summarize). The point is that Trump is running for a specific office. Previously, his office was "the 45th President of the United States." He was clearly entitled to a second term as "45th President." The Biden term (46th President) intervened. Now, Trump holds the office of 47th President. To which he is constitutionally entitled to run for a second term.
This matches the practice in many states (e.g., for governor) where there are limits on successive terms, but no restriction on running for office again after an interval, whereupon the 2nd term limit applies anew.
The question is: even if the loophole in the 14th ammendment was fixed, would it be retroactive?
There are thousands who have squirmed their way into the country to give birth and use the children as "anchor babies". It would have to include all of them to be effective.
I don't think amending the constitution is the way to go.
We should just force the supreme court to look at it.

Simple as “…shall not be infringed.”
Correct. If we tried to change the 14 it would be a never winning fight.. RINO's would use it like abortion,

Or plain old time Nakisha meanings:
According to Webster’s dictionary:
subject to verb subjected to; subjected to also subject to; subjecting to; subjects to 1 : affected by or possibly affected by (something) The firm is subject to state law. Let's wait and see what SCOTUS does with it. We may not need to go as far as a Constitutional Convention.

Convention? Completely different from an Amendment.
Maybe an additional 14 words should be added. That would be the ultimate answer to the foreign invasion.
Gonna need an amendment so Trump can run again. This is a dry run on that.

I never heard that argument before. It is beautiful. Thanks!

Quite often, what Rand Paul wants, never seems to happen.
Just more posturing from Rand Paul. Fake patriot.
