I switched to android last year. The reason at the time was the user agreement. I woke up one morning to "hello" in many different languages and full brightness. The phone would not let me into it to turn down the brightness without agreeing to the new terms. I guess I am pretty stubborn first thing in the morning because i ditched it that day. Anyway, I would use my Apple with wifi when my android was charging until Apple pushed an update that made my iPhone useless. It will not connect to the wifi anymore. It was an xr. Until this happened I was in love with the speed and smooth operation of iPhone. It was hard to switch but they really pissed me off with the user terms which basically said that I don't have proprietary rights to my information.
Never owned an apple product. I have an older Android that still works fine. But I only use it to text, make phone calls, and occasionally look something up online. That's pretty much it. I don't conduct any financial business on my phone or anything else that could be used by data vultures or hackers. Never have used any voice activated BS even on my home computer, they are uninstalled. I seldom watch videos on my phone nor do I use social media other than this forum. Therefore, no need for the apps. I think the only time I ever logged in to my google account was when I first set up the phone when I purchased it and to download my VPN. No other need for the app store. I don't live on my phone so it doesn't bother me. My privacy is worth more to me than some conveniences. But that's just me.
I dont use voice activation but I do a LOT of research on my phone. I keep having issues with bloatware on my laptop. That's where the iPhone got me sucked in. Straight, smooth speed. A very stable operating system, as well.
Bloatware is evil and it is getting worse. I remove as much of it as I can. I understand though if you have to use a phone to do things. Some have no choice so smooth operations are a draw for sure.
How is this not destruction of property? If I buy a Toyota and 5 years later, Toyota sends a man in a skimask to put sand in my oil pan, would they not be liable for damages?
Remember When Tim Cook talks about how much he cares about the environment, at the same time making at least 2 new iPhones each year? Yeah we are sheeps
Are they pointing out apple for a reason? They all do this. Android phones dont hold a charge as long after a few years. Forcing the purchase of a new phone. This is nothing new IMO
Praise Lord GabeN! I've been on Linux as my primary OS for awhile, now, and both Valve and Microsoft deserve thanks and blame. Never ran W11 on any of my own hardware.
If someone bravely started a company that produced quality, lasting products, they would probably get assassinated or pushed out by crooked city inspectors. We sure would support a company like that, though. We would only buy from them.
LOL!!!! She was an engineer with Apple and claims they installed malware???
They were throttling the processors because the batteries wear out over time and drawing too much current just expedites the battery destruction. People got pissed, rightfully so, that they were making their phones slower, but it wasn't fucking malware you baboon.
End result is now they have battery wear in the settings so you can see how fucked your battery is and no more throttling, so your battery will get ultra fucked now much quicker.

We all live and learn.

You got Apple Phone, sue them now.

I don't have Iphone for a reason. I love apple products and just don't.
I've never had a cell phone in my life. I think they're a tool used by devil /slash/ deep state to keep the sheep pacified.
I used it because I have to find road out in the boondox.
I still have my apple phone and every now and then I charge it to see if it still works...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I have let the battery go ALL THE WAY TO RED and then put it on the charging pad and VIOLA'...it starts charging again!!!!!!
And yes, I do have an Android and love the damn thang!!!!!!
Amen. We two are the same. LOL
Roger That!!!
I'll never buy another Crapple ever again...
As seen on TV...
I like their Mac book but yes, Apple phone, I hope to buy one from Elon.

I changed battery. LOL
BINGO...you be doing the samething I did!!!! AND IT AIN'T HARD!!!!!
I am a cheapskate. LOL
Didn't realize you could......Thanks!
Make sure you know how to open it first.
Yes, I will be taking it to someone that knows what they are doing!
Please.
Apple was changing software to intentionally make the experience and performance it worse. Not just normal battery wear.
Now do Microsoft. Deliberate obsolescence to force upgrades.
Praise Lord GabeN! I've been on Linux as my primary OS for awhile, now, and both Valve and Microsoft deserve thanks and blame. Never ran W11 on any of my own hardware.
Common to all rechargeable batteries. It's not the device, it's the battery.
Samsung does the same thing, it's called planned obsolescence.
Apple only had to pay a $27 million dollar fine as a trillion dollar company.
I sure hope Elon get his done.
I am glad this was exposed. Now expose how appliances, lawnmowers, etc are designed to need repair/replacing within 3 to 5 years.
Tell me about it. I talked to an Australian engineer who designed lawn mower in Missouri. He said absolutely the same thing.

I think you meant to say buffoon instead of "baboon." 😁
I changed my battery in Android.
brain_dead
Would you like to know what the normies are saying about the issue? 😁

Thanks.
This is interesting. Maybe it's fake. I wouldn't know.
Is there any way to substantiate that the young lady was indeed a former Apple software engineer?
I don't have a way.
So if you buy a brand new iPhone 14 sealed in the box off eBay, Apple is going to "update" it for you.
No idea. I don't buy Iphone.
You got it backwards. Apple wants you to use a little i and a big P when writing iPhone. 😁
LOL
