Thomas Massie faced a primary opponent named Ed Gallrein — and Gallrein refused to do any debates.
Massie explained why Gallrein was shy around the media: “He’s afraid to take a position because he knows he doesn’t have positions.” In fact, Gallrein’s spokesperson could not even provide a reason for why Gallrein did not attend.
Gallrein also had very few supporters at his campaign events. Just a few days before the primary, Gallrein could not muster seven people to attend his one of his public appearances.
Seven people.
We also know that Gallrein had very few supporters at his victory party.
That’s not a guess. We have the video.
If Gallrein did beat Massie in a fair election then why did only 20 people show up to celebrate his win?
No voters at his campaign stops. No voters at his election party.
It’s obvious: Gallrein actually had very little support in his race.
Let’s consider another key metric in political campaigns: small-dollar donations. Such donations are widely considered a proxy for voter enthusiasm and support.
Based on donations, Massie had a large following of local support — while Gallrein had a much smaller following. Most of Gallrein's money came from outside the state and outside the United States.
Massie’s campaign raised money through donations that were smaller, but more numerous: the median contribution was $250 from more than 3,000 individual donors. For Gallrein, about 1,000 such donors contributed around $1,000 each.
So Massie’s grassroots donor support was three times the size of his opponent.
Why did this primary become the most expensive race in the history of Congress? “It’s because three billionaires from outside of Kentucky have funneled millions of dollars here to try to buy a seat,” according to Massie. Outside groups like American Israel Public Affairs Committee and the Republican Jewish Coalition spent tens of millions of dollars on attack ads against Massie too.
Still, that’s just money. And money doesn’t actually fill out the ballots, right?
Now in this primary, Massie supposedly got only 47,018 votes — and yet the crowd at his election party was ten times the size of Gallrein's.
Here’s a picture of Massie’s party on Primary Day. Notice the difference.
Pretty strange — isn’t it? A candidate with no voters easily beats an incumbent who has three times his small-dollar donations, ten times his crowds, and thirty times his social media followers.
Now let’s debunk the claim that Kentucky voters were simply sick and tired of Massie.
How do we know? Because Massie actually got more votes than he got in his 2024 primary.
And let’s remember the most important point: President Trump has told you for six years a simple truth: our voting machines are rigged.
Elon Musk has told you too.
And guess what: Kentucky uses voting machines.
That’s how we all know that elections in Kentucky are rigged too.
Classic case of people didn't voted for him, they voted against Massie.
I did the same last time against Tom Cole. I voted for a yahoo from Texas. He just moved up to Oklahoma a few months before the primary. I didn't know him or like him much, but i was very happy he ran so I could vote against Tom Cole.
The only reason Massie was even close was that the democrats were providing a lot of fraudulent votes. The district is 75% Trump country. When Trump talks, MAGA listens.
I’ll say for the third time in 24 hours, Thomas Massie is not the kind of man who concedes if he believed he was cheated. And, you don’t stay in Congress for 14 years without understanding internal polling and what demographic you need to win.
He conceded quickly because his private, internal polling and his campaign staff scattered around the district were telling him he could not win.
Why so many crybabies about a jerk like Massie. I think we have some non great awakening/Q people masquerading as such, here. You can try and cast doubt all you want but it won't change the vote total. Your jerk lost yesterday, move the f on, no one cares about him except a few on this board. 🙄
So was he supposed to invite a GOP that didn't want him to step on over a help celebrate with him after their boy lost?
The power of a Presidential endorsement proved to be huge for him I expect but atleast he held on and finished the race and crossed the finish line with friends.
If he fails he gets swapped in two years for some one else and life goes on.
If there's a question, just recount the paper ballots that were collected and secured under lock and key on election night. They allow all contested results to be verified. Oh wait.........
Something stinks in Kentucky.

This is called: logic.
It’s time to use your common sense. Massie won.

Butt hurt Massie supporters.🤦🏼♂️
😭😭😭
That's not what one would consider a reasoned or classy response. Care to refute her observations on its merits?
No, but I can let you know that if you have a Sam's club membership, a case of tissue papers are on sale....
And what would a clown from oregone know about class....🤣
A vote against Massie is a vote for whom ever is running against him. Get it?

20+ $Million$ buys a lot of fraud,
Maybe it stinks....Maybe they were voting to elect Ed only to oust Massie
Bring the proof. Election denier.

No it doesn't.
Massie sucks dick. Get over it.
