BAIER: "An enormous change in U.S. immigration policy tonight. The Trump administration says any non-citizens in the country who have applied for a green card must leave the country indefinitely even if here legally and regardless of whether they have a spouse or children."
"Then they have to wait for their green card application to be processed outside of the country."
Large US Govmt Billboards with scrolling information should be installed in all major cities that tell the immigrants their new rules and the ramifications.
They should rotate the messages in various languages to make sure they all can read the new rules.
Seems like nothing new. I know the Green Card process quite well and it's this; you have to apply for an immigrant visa at a US Embassy in your home country (London in my case). You can't just rock up as tourist and decide to stay. If the visa is granted, then you can live and work in the US while your Green Card application is in progress. In fact you are **required ** to show evidence of approved employment in the US and that you are self-supporting - how do you do that if you have left the country?
It's a complex and expensive process by the way and needs determination and grit - the immigration fairy does not wave a magic wand.
Being against illegal immigration is not the same as unlimited hating on foreigners. Remember foreigners is how your country got started.
That may be what it says you're supposed to do, but the reality is that it is not happening. I have dozens on my case load at welfare that were here illegally and are now "permanent residents," and they never left the country........unless you consider them going to New York.
Yes, this includes leaving spouses and children. I would bet, if they leave to wait in their home country, they'll take the family with them. Does this mean, no more coming here on a visa to marry an American and applying for a green card and waiting here? You know, like 90-day fiance? That would be fantastic if that is the case.ππ
Oh believe me, word will get out faster than CNN. Green card holders seem to have a communication system between themselves that is faster than anything electronic. How do you think they all get in on the scams that they perpetrate so quickly? They even pass around the same script!
GOOD! Get them all out! π₯

I agree with the billboard idea, but it should be in English only.
Can Somalis even read their own language? They are not the brightest, ya know.

It's a slow squeeze. For some reason, I guess, it must be done in stages? Getting them deported or forcing them out?
These are self deports while trump has INS actively going after the criminal eleme t.
But how exactly is Pres. Trump going to make sure all of those holding green cards will hear this information?
