Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Rules For the rest of the Site also accessible on the sidebar.

A little clarity on this point would be helpful for newbies. Where should they post things not meant for this board? In the Hot, Rising, or Top catagory?
Things not meant for this board should only be limited to General Chat
But where is the general chat? All that i see on my screen is the Hot, New, Rising , and Top. Nowhere on my phone app is the General Chat option. ( shrugs shoulders and shakes head)
If you click on Hot, the very first post is General Chat.
For today, its https://greatawakening.win/p/1ASsiUO0rw/general-chat-for-mon-jun-01/
JUST IN - Federal appeals court finds Trump admin policy banning transgenders from serving in the U.S. military unconstitutional — Fox News
I drive a lot. not a little. A Lot. from each corner of the State and sometimes in one day back and forth. If I work for an 8 hour day, there is days it will be a 6 hour drive day. On slow days I don't drive that far and do other things like training and be available to go somewhere on the fly and do something that is needed.
of late, really like the last few days and my wife who only drives about 10 miles to/from her office has noticed.
there is A LOT of people all of sudden trying to get hit in the rear of their cars. I don't know if this is a thing out of desperation or an organized thing. I experienced this about 20 plus years ago too... especially for those in work trucks that have branding on them.
one was slowly driving into my lane trying to get me to hit their bumper. I seen a rig pop a little car today. My wife had a car do the same thing. Another will slow down and if you try to go around them they will creep back in front of you.
for me in the past few days it has happened multiple times. I am not an aggressive driver. when they do that to me I will figure out how to get away and I am not a rushed driver so even if I pull of the interstate or a side street to go a different route. no biggie.
we will assume these people are on their phones but that assumption is incorrect.
only one thing I see that matches all the ones I have seen of late.. they are all most likely illegal.
another thought is today when the rig popped the car it stopped all the traffic and that might be a goal too.
This could also be butt hurt driver who took offense to something and trying to annoy you. If this is indeed intentional pay attention to the nationality of the drivers you might see a pattern, since they all tend to follow their local leaders.
Stereotypes are real. The truth of stereotypes is the second best empirically documented and replicable finding in the social sciences.
Absolutely, social media has made it even more so, and has successfully created new stereotypes. I’m curious, what’s the first best empirically documented and replicable finding in the social sciences?
Dear AI twat:
Prices in America are roughly 39% higher overall than they were in 2016.
Due to this cumulative inflation, $100 in 2016 possesses the equivalent purchasing power of about $139 today. This retard here...Do it the OTHER way - 2026 has only $61 purchasing power compared to $100 from 2016...
A clearer breakdown of how costs have changed across different living expenses illustrates this impact:
Overall Cost of Living: 38.75% cumulative inflation. To maintain an exact 2016 monthly budget, expenditures have risen from an average of about $5,700 to roughly $7,900.
Housing: Median home prices are roughly 72% higher, jumping from approximately $235,000 to over $400,000. Combined with interest rates that have climbed from 3.7% to the 6% range, monthly mortgage payments have more than doubled in many areas.
Daily Groceries & Fuel: Everyday items are notably higher. For example, a dozen eggs have risen from roughly $2.30 to $3.59, and gas prices have climbed from $1.97 to about $3.29 per gallon. Numbers here WAY off...$4.59/gal Regular... Diesel in the $5.50 range. I saw $6.39 in Pennsylvania on Saturday, but word is they're coming down...
Services & Utilities: Electricity has increased from $0.13 per kWh to $0.19 per kWh, while overall food-away-from-home (restaurant) costs reflect a cumulative increase of over 30%.If you want to understand how specific parts of your budget (like rent, cars, or entertainment) compare, tell me what specific products or regions you are most curious about and I can look up specific data.
No, you're NOT crazy...NO, the 3.8% figure regarding inflation IS misleading... and yes, I used the last 10 years as a yardstick here.
But it's a good thing that we're all getting raises above and beyond the ACTUAL REAL cost of living tho, right?
Everybody that was making $45k back in 2016 is pulling down like $62,500 now, right? +39%
Ever get the feeling you can never get ahead?
Just commiserating frens... The damned electric bill, car insurance, food etc is insanely expensive. I couldn't believe a pack of cigarettes, which was like $7.50 or so around 2016 is now $15.00
The upside I guess is metal I stacked way back then has exceeded the current inflation numbers by a good margin.

"Superfluous Wealth" & The Spiritual Danger of Riches (Repost)
Previous post: https://scored.co/c/Christianity/p/19A0tQMqgb/on-superfluous-wealth--the-spiri/c
The basic idea seems to be that God gives wealth beyond one's needs ("superfluous wealth") to be used for the good of others
A man may possess great riches without sin, however this is spiritually dangerous and makes salvation more difficult because temptations are increased:
Some mere holding of wealth beyond one's needs has been thought to be sinful, for example with the story of the "rich man and Lazarus" (Luke 16) where the rich man was condemned for not using his wealth to help the poor man Lazarus who was in need
Contrary to a spirit of usury (or lending at interest), Jesus even recommends as an ideal to lend without expecting any returns:
Hence following these kinds of principles, which seem contrary to a common understanding of the use of money today, would seem to have an effect of distributing wealth more evenly (the richest become poorer voluntarily, and enrich the poorest which makes them richer, thereby tending towards more of an equal economic status)
(In light of the above, it is noted that different people have different economic needs; for example the father of a large family may of course need much more materially than an unmarried individual who lives simply)
What do you think about people's attitudes towards money today and how these kinds of principles ought to be practically implemented more in the world or in the USA to make the country greater?
Question, I have a friend bringing me Ivermectin from Egypt. Any thoughts regarding it, it's actually cheap to purchase it there. Forgot the exact price, but 25 3mg or 6mg tablets I think for less than five dollars at a pharmacy over there.
Brand is Iverzine.
I guess...
How much do you really need?
The savings vs questionable potency/quality wouldn't be worth it to me. I'd rather just get horse paste, as it's the same, just not in a pill.
Same with fenben - you can get the 444mg (or is that 222mg I forget) capsules, but they bang you pretty good for them. I think it was nearly $100 for a 100 capsule bottle... Horse paste was like $12 for similar overall potency.
They make a LOT of money making people believe the pills are better or "human grade" - when the reality is, they're ALL USP and suitable for "off label use", regardless of what "vessel" you seek to treat.
Just putting that out there for those who don't know.
I guess reviews or independent third party testing would be what I'd be interested in thinking about to ensure the product has some quality to it?
It's also fairly reasonable in Mexico, as long as it's not a resort town.
Not sure where else to ask you, but...
I randomly checked on ComputerShare for GME reasons.
It's started asking for my phone number in order to fully log in.
I don't trust that. But if you say it's okay, I'll do it.
It's ok. They now have two step verification, they will send you a text. I'm not a fan,but we do need good security.
Don't forget to log in at least once a year.
Thank you. It hadn't been a year, but good to know.
Your account goes inactive....
Not sure of all the details, but why take a chance.
