I try to avoid posting anything about myself or making prayer requests, but a lot of stuff has piled up.
To summarize it: -I'm having health issues with being unable to sleep without the aid of medication (went almost 48 hours without sleep twice, once even with medication). -My wife also has health issues, potentially genetic in nature that's expensive to even fully diagnose.
- Hours are being cut at work, causing stress and anxiety, and applications to other jobs have come up dry. (Possibly causing the sleep issues.)
- Working on an unfunded game studio startup as we prepare to launch our first game. (More stress galore.)
- We have a 14 year old cat that we had to take in to the vet for an overgrown claw (first time it was ever a concern). Had to get her a rabies vaccine (law) and she's lost her appetite and seems to be going down hill since.
- Along with other unlisted things.
I would appreciate any prayers for our situation. God has been providing smaller blessings as we need and we have another just on the horizon, but things have felt a bit too much at the same time.
Heavenly Father, we ask you to shower blessings on Rando_47 and his family, to exceed their hopes and expectations and to demonstrate your abundant love in their lives, resolving their material needs and giving succor to their souls. We glorify your name and ask Your help to manifest that glory in the lives of your servants. Thank you and amen.
Amen.
Dear Lord, please provide for u/Rando_47 in all the ways that they need assistance. Let their sleep be restfull, their work productive, their fears allayed, their peace secure in knowing that the God of the universe loves them & cares for them. Please send healing to their cat. Our furkids are family & we want what is best for them too. Please send the people & resources they need for any & all needs, spoken & unspoken. You know what they are & know just who and what needs to cross their path. Thank you, Lord for this & being steadfast in your love. I ask all this in Jesus' Holy name & to your glory. Amen.
I hope your cat gets better soon. Our older cat had the same reaction, including getting weak, but snapped out of it. She did not have a reaction the next time she had to have one.
Also, have you heard of the International Game Developer's Association (IGDA)? They have some free resources on their website. I don't know if they will be helpful for your game launch, but I thought I would pass the resource link onto you: https://igda.org/resources/
God loves you so much. Trust his plan.
" I give You thanks with all my heart; before the gods I sing Your praises.
I bow down toward Your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your loving devotion and Your faithfulness; You have exalted Your name and Your word above all else.
On the day I called, You answered me; You emboldened me and strengthened my soul.
All the kings of the earth will give You thanks, O LORD, when they hear the words of Your mouth.
They will sing of the ways of the LORD, for the glory of the LORD is great.
Though the LORD is on high, He attends to the lowly; but the proud He knows from afar.
If I walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve me from the anger of my foes; You extend Your hand, and Your right hand saves me.
The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me. O LORD, Your loving devotion endures forever— do not abandon the works of Your hands." Psalm 138 BSB
Beautiful and helpful. Amen!
Prayers on the way fren.
Praying for you now, brother. 🙏
And I’ll keep doing so.
Sit down and be with your cat and then tell her everything that is happening to her and why. To let you know when you can help.
Prayers sent✝️
May God bless you and your loved ones with His healing power within you, along with the other gifts He blesses you with today (like perseverance and courage).
God provides. 🙏
“Research suggests that magnesium citrate may benefit older adults with insomnia. Randomized control trials indicate that oral magnesium citrate supplements can improve sleep parameters, including sleep onset latency and total sleep time, offering potential relief for insomnia symptoms. In a study of adults over the age of 51 with poor sleep quality, a daily supplement of 320 mg of magnesium citrate significantly improved sleep quality and disturbances as measured by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI)."

There's also another type of magnesium that has the same effect AND can pass the blood-brain barrier to relieve mental stress. I forget its name.
(May) The Lord bless you and keep you; (may) the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; (may) the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
Prayers for you and your family.
Prayers lifted, though I can't imagine wording them better than has been said here.
