A phrase often attributed to Sigmund Freud, suggesting that not everything has a deeper meaning and some things are simply what they are. It emphasizes the idea that we sometimes overanalyze situations or objects that may not require such scrutiny.
Horse race winners have been known in advance since ancient Rome (and likely before). Choosing the name of the winner doesn't require divine provenance, just mafia connections.
Thanks for putting into words what I was saying. There’s more to this race than meets the eye. This is comms at their finest and Golden Tempo beat Renegade at the Derby, but “sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.” I disagree here.
They chose not to run him in the Preakness, thereby foregoing an attempt at the Triple Crown. Lost opportunity to make history and more $? Maybe, but most other Derby horses skipped the Preakness as well. 'Some say those 3 big races so close together is, or would have been, too taxing for the horses. So, Golden Tempo's owner and trainer - like those of the other top 3-4 Derby finishers - put their hopes on doing well enough at the Belmont Stakes to still be able to cash in big time from finishing positions in the two races and from future stud fees and offspring.
I have been keeping track of all the 2016 Trump prophecies and most people threw them out when Trump didn't get to take office after winning the 2020 election. But he did win, and he did get in. Most prophecies in scripture were missed by the contemporaries and discovered after the fact. The firefighter guys prophecy was given prior to 2012 that a horse would win the Triple Crown and Trump would announce. All the messages he got were for 2012 and that horse won the Derby and Preakness to lose the Belmont. He thought he heard wrong. The horse that lost was named "I'll Have Another". Four years later "American Pharoah" won and the following week Trump came down the golden escalator. 2 years later "Justify" won the Triple Crown. "Golden Tempo" maybe could have won all three but "Napoleon Solo" was inserted in there. If anybody watching and reading follows along to the Bible prophecies you can see that God gives messages in strange ways and usually to unassuming people, and the people who get the message being a small group until after the events transpire.
OK . . . but "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar."

I thought the same, but someone posted this, which is fun... "Golden Tempo also beat the favorite: a horse named 'Renegade.' "👌
yeah that would get your attention!
Golden Tempo also beat the favorite: a horse named 'Renegade.'
How 'bout that?
Ok, that's cool🐸
Renegade was Obama’s code name with the secret service for anyone wondering

Golden Tempo = Golden Age
Sovereign won last year.
I would love to know how the white hats are doing this 😂

Too bad he didn’t run the Preakness. Won two races and no one will remember him.
Horse 17 was in the lead most of the race and Golden tempo passed 17 horses to reach the lead
The Horses owner decided against going for the Triple Crown.
They just don’t build ‘em like they used to….cough, cough, Secretariat.
The movie is a winner too, when I feel low I put it on and revel in that speed and know that Penny Tweedy is the spirit of America!!
What's the big deal with this win, the horse did not win the Preakness and thus no triple crown.
Look behind the story of it just being a horse race

Subtle put downs are a drag.
