What the Civilian Government believes or doesn’t is largely irrelevant. What the IRGC does is mostly what matters.
The Downsides of creating a large heavily funded paramilitary that only really listened to the first Supreme Leader we blew up, and only kind of listened to the second one we maimed and possibly left in a coma. The amount of influence the rest of the Civilian Government had over them was limited.
What's happening in Iran is the definition of anarchy. There are many hands in the pot. I've tried to no avail to explain to my normie and even semi awakened friends just how deep this Iran thing really goes. Venezuela too.
