No the parade and streets were fulla fringe. The troops forced to carry it. Met with some after the parade and they explained emotionally that our flag had been
captured. I can only imagine what my elders would be experiencing now, the JOY. I am an elder now and thank God daily I am alive to witness the longed for transition.
Trump often has displayed the gold fringe on flags in the Oval and onstage.
So is it that he is knowingly in on the admiralty law thing, a heinous deception; or that he doesn't know what it means; or that it means nothing but decoration, and he just loves gold everything?
It means nothing. It's about as meaningful as the bogeyman beneath one's bed. It can't prove anything, when you have to assume what you are proving in order to make the argument.
From a military perspective: fringe is documented to be ornamentation ....
However .....
A few years back, I saw a picture of a minister of foreign affairs holding a speech at the Atlantic Council. The "Dutch" flag was infringed with yellow. There is no tradition or law in The Netherlands to do so. I have to say though, that what is considered a Dutch flag, is actually the flag of the House of Orange i.e. The Kingdom, not the state of the Netherlands. So .... in essence, is signals that the Kingdom is in a state of war.
Ukraine flag in 2022: infringed with yellow.
Presidential flag of Russia: infringed with yellow.
So, it is not just ornamentation: it signals: Martial
Infringing the US flag with a yellow ornament of martial, is not right, as the flag stand for the republic. And the republic is formed based on the Constitution. That is not a martial matter, but a civil matter.
As soon as we are talking Martial, we are talking post-office and post-office-accounts, which means: Special Agency of the UN, like UPU and ITU.
Retrieving the flag from the WHO, is a statement, indeed.
However, the term: "shall not be infringed" all of a sudden gets a different ring, is it not. not infringed means unbound, unlimited, unimpeded i.e. free.
Thank you! My old no fringe flag had troops stopping to salute during a veterans' day parade in the 90s. THIS IS A BIG DEAL!
Well the fringed were indoor only so....

Which seems most in line with common sense?
All good points. Honestly, I think Trump just loves gold on everything :)

I always thought this was one of the dumber conspiracy theories--I thought the fringe was just there for extra ornamentation.
It was even mocked on King of the Hill once, which is not only where I first heard of it, but I first noticed the fringe.
You're telling me there was actually some truth to it?
