The finest tobacco in the world. A unique combination of soil and climate coupled with a long history of tobacco farming by Cubans results in a product the possession of which is so beneficial that it far outweighs the risk of mere smuggling charges. I smuggled a few packs of non-filter Cuban cigarettes into the U.S. on a return trip from South America and I'll do it again if I get the chance. The prize was worth the risk.
It would also be excellent if I could waltz up to the counter at the local store and say: "I'll have of pack of Vegas, non-filter, please". That would be way civilized.
It could very easily become a tourist destination with modern hotels and everything good that goes with it. Cruise ships could make it a port of call to boost their economy
Their agriculture could really begin to take off with modern machinery and technology.
The soil should should still be very fertil & climate is still perfect for planting. It shouldn't take them long to get up to speed with new agriculture equipment and the right guidance.
I wonder what breed of cattle should be sent over to start the herds? I'm guessing a dual purpose breed milk/meat or even one that can be a draft animal like the American Milking Devon. Getting a cow or two on a family farm would make the commercial breeds like Angus or Charolais not as practical. Easy keepers for the Cuban climate and feed would be important, but I'm no expert on cattle.
It is horrible that the first thing the communists/muslims/socialists/evildoers do is go after the animals. Predictable but horrible. A population with not access to livestock, fish, and food is one that is easy to control.
"What does Cuba have to offer?"

Hasn't a great deal of farmland lain fallow? Won't it be in fine shape to be planted?

A leader with a big nose too.
Ok, lets negotiate. Here are our terms: You surrender to the USA, and we will make Cuba great again. Take or leave it.
MCGA!!!!!
Where's Rubio?
What about true doughnuts
RUM!!!!!!!!!
I really hope American tax payers don't end up rebuilding Cuba. What does Cuba have to offer?
Old cars
They're pretty much worthless now. They all have diesels in them and have been heavily modified. Up close, most look like shit.
Tobacco.
Being 90 miles off the southern shore of Florida, security comes to mind. And rum. Havana club is pretty good.
A great deal; I'm pretty sure that is what made it so attractive in 1959. That and strategic location.
I am betting that he wants to negotiate his family’s and friends’ exit package.
