Why? Farmers and ranchers usually aren't great politicians, they're often too disconnected and don't have the relationships in place to effectively make deals. Senator Lindsey Graham is a true American patriot. Darline deserve to take the seat, if for no other reason than to honor the legacy of such a great man. If President Trump says that Darline is a good pick, then I whole heartedly support it, as should we all.
Why? Because the Rancher I describe has roots to the past and a desire to provide a future, but you know that.
Darlene does not "deserve" anything. This is not "The Graham's" seat, it belongs to the Citizens of South Carolina.
The reason shared to not choose a rancher applies to her quite nicely.
Sure, he has roots, but he probably doesn't have political and social connections which are crucial for getting people to do you favors.
It is Graham's seat because he was elected to it. When the voters elected him, it became his seat, for a 6 year term. Graham literally gave his life for this country, and he clearly loved his sister and considered her to be one of the most important people in his life. She deserves to hold that seat for the rest of her life, in memorial for the man who gave to much to this country. That's the problem with American these days, no respect for the past and for the sacrifices of those who give so much.

Nepotism isn't inherently bad. The MSM will try to convince you otherwise, but this isn't true. Filling roles with trusted family and friends has been the way the world works for thousands of years. President Trump has appointed numerous people to posts, and I hope he continues to do so. President Trump needs those who are loyal to him, that is the most important metric for picking any person to fill a role.
I do not approve. She was not elected by the people to be senate. This is a slope I dont like. Just do what is needed, hold an election. Next month. Make the candidates who want to run interim senate fight like hell. No time to make fraud possible. The people get to choose their temp senator.

Candidates can file to be on the special primary ballot beginning July 21 through July 28.
If no one gets 50% of the vote, a runoff would be held Aug. 25. Early voting for the runoff would be held from Aug. 19 to Aug. 21.

We know that most of the people are brainwashed by the MSM. Why would you want them to pick people? Part of the reason we are in this mess is because we allow the tyranny of the mob. President Trump should be able to fire and pick new Senators and Congressmen at will. Can you imagine how much better things would be if we could finally fire these low lifes and get some people in congress who are actually interested in doing what is best for the country? Democracy only works when the public is moral and can be trusted. President Trump has a mandate from the people, so as far as I'm concerned, anyone he chooses has been elected.

I'm not a fan of this one. I am assuming that his sister Darline is the executor of his estate. That is a LOT of work - especially when dealing with someone who was - or almost was - a millionaire.
Side note - for him to be in the Senate for so long and not be a multimillionaire, maybe he was actually decent and didn't cheat the system. He was still a warmonger though.
Darline will serve from whenever they swear her in, until January 3. She has multiple jobs, a family with adult children and at least one grandchild, and very little time to serve as a Senator. I'm sure his estate will go through probate, and there could be fights in the family. She will have to deal with all of that while learning what to do in the Senate.
I get the sentiment, but I'm not sure she knows what is in store for her and her family. Maybe one of her adult children can be executor, but who knows.
I just think these kinds of appointments should be very rare, and thought about for more than a day. The appointee may not have any idea what they are in for with the learning curve and the executor duties - and the press watching every move.
Being a senator is not that hard. Basically a part time job.
