And with 30 available tanks, how id the UK suppose to help NATO if a conflict happens? Shouldnt they have hundreds of tanks and thousands od fighters and support personnel in case of emergency? No wonder they didn't want to help the USA in its conflict with Iran, among other reasons.
I’ve been following the military developments in the war in Ukraine almost from the very beginning (Military Summary). Although it comes from the Russian side, in my experience, this reporting is, on the whole, the most reliable.
What has become clear during this war is that tanks will not share the fate of so many other branches of the military since the mid-1880s—they have already done so.
Massed infantry assaults — machine guns and trenches;
Cavalry — tanks;
New — air force;
Battleships — aircraft carriers;
and now
Tanks — drone warfare.
You don’t need to completely destroy tanks, because rendering them immobile is usually more than enough.
The deployment of Western main battle tanks in Ukraine to date has shown that they are unsuitable for use there, as they are too heavy, too complicated, and impossible to maintain in the rear areas of the front. To my knowledge, the old Leopard 2 tanks are the only ones that Ukrainian combat troops recognize as having some value: as a mobile, self-propelled artillery system.
Here in Germany, the politicians have completely lost their minds! They want a new Leopard and are forgetting that our transportation infrastructure—especially the bridges—is already falling apart.
Corona is no longer effective as a source of panic—now it has to be “the Russians”! Why would they want to invade an almost completely destroyed (without a war!) country and, if they did—as our warmongering politicians are trying to drum into our heads—wait until 2030 to do so?
Drones have been very effective at destroying tanks.
If Britain tries to fight using these tanks, they'll last 20 minutes on the battlefield. If Britain could develop a flying tank... it would be very useful in modern warfare. Old tanks are a slow moving target.
What a joke!!!
Doubt they have anyone to drive them or fuel to power them.
What a shit hole they have become.
What about sling-shots and spit wads? Probably as much value these days...
Argentina enters the chat.

Nah. Can’t be.
I heard the latest Pedo Prime minister saying that they are ready to rock, if are attacked by Iran. Giggle
Don't worry, they have enough for the outer rings of 15 minute cities.

What do they need tanks for, to supress the people?
Probably gave it all to the Ukraine
Just send them all to Ukraine and build new ones🤣😂🤡
