I just put in a garden. My soil is crap, so I have a couple of raised beds and everything else is in grow bags which are very cheap and I can move them around easy. Easy stuff to grow that I will freeze or can...spinach, zucchini, tomatoes, squash, several pepper varieties, collards. short term stuff like lettuce and sprouts will plant in intervals to have daily. I also have berry bushes and fig trees
Anyone remember the days (I can, because I'm 60) when at some point in late middle school the school would do a sex education class? Only one session and it was scheduled way in advance. All parents were notified and they could opt out of sending their kid to the class if they wished. My parents told me everything before that so I didn't learn anything new. Ahhh....the good old days.
I never thought I would see the day where we have to master the process of protesting. But, I love that everyone is banding together to outsmart the evil ones. I imagine what is starting out as 1,000 trucks will grow to a massive movement! God bless you!
Great info. I was already amazed by the plan, but to potentially see it unfolding in this amount of detail is mind boggling and exciting. I was already amazed by Trump...but this...this....it just makes you want to run around the room proclaiming the goodness of God and that he truly appoints the right people for his mission.
Hubby and I started going to a local church (we moved to a smaller town...rural). I can't tell you how thrilled I was that there were no masks, people at the front waiting to shake hands or hug you and at one point during the service the pastor had us all hold hands together. Boy, I missed that. Brought a tear to my eye.
It's easy to get overwhelmed. Over the past 8 months, we have slowly been moving towards at least some semblance of sustainable food sources. We have had to just work one project at a time on our little 2 acre lot. Take down trees. Stock large pond (12 acre pond) with fish. Build small greenhouse. Build some raised beds. Order non gmo /heirloom seeds. Buy canning supplies. Buy additional freezers. Start planting fruit trees and berry bushes. Get to know local farmers for natural meat sources, eggs etc. Put down landscape fabric all over the place (we are 60+ years of age....I don't want to be weeding a bunch). Mulch. Install drip irrigation system. and on and on....and then now hopefully come spring I can finally start growing veggies/spices, etc. Hope to also share what we grow with neighbors. The important thing for us has been to tackle one item at a time and do it right. I'm impatient so its hard, but its worth it.
Yep...I'm paying about $18-20 a pound for a good ribeye at the store. So now one of our neighbors is going to split a cow with us. Can get 500 pounds of beef from a farmer normally for $9 a pound. We have a farmer friend that is getting us a cow for $6 a pound. Makes me happy to support a local farmer.
I got in immediately when the web version came up. Was actually quicker than I thought it would be
