I dont understand the joy in these retirements, most are probably democrats that had some sense about them. In KY, Yarmuth will not run for re-election and Rand Paul says the guy that will run in his place will make Yarmuth look like a conservative. These older democrats leaving just means younger far more left leaning replacements.
There is a lot of criticism of the way people live their lives on this site, fuck you if you do that, thats what the left does and you are no better than them if you do it. Live your life, don't take advice from others on how to and especially don't give it if you aren’t asked.
Lol yea that makes me feel so much better that people in those positions need union protection or a union to determine the wage they are paid instead of the skill said person has. 20 years in the workforce, never seen someone fired that didn't deserve it, never seen someone qualified for a better wage that couldn’t/didn’t just go get it.
You need to step back and realize you are talking about something completely different than i. You are talking about people banding together, hence the semantics comment, i am talking about the big business that are unions. Did the pilots union organize that sick out? I’m guessing not because in my experience with contractual agreements, that would be a breach of contract, depending on the wording of course. I have never seen a contract not explicitly call out work stoppages while under said contract to not breach the contract. You wanna band together, go ahead, but the second you join one of these unions you are contributing to the big corporations you say i’m protecting.
Furthermore, not once in all the contract negotiations i have been apart of, both sides, have the union workers got more because of said union representation. You want a guaranteed raise every year, ok, but miss out on those years when the company has record profits and could have given much better raises and bonuses. On the flip side, the company is contractually obligated to give you that smaller raise and bonus even though it could have bumped wages for everyone, effectively limiting the company’s ability to lure new/better candidates. Socialism is a weight that weighs on everyone involved.
Nothing you said refuted my comment, i’m not getting drawn into your semantics.
Anybody who has been a part of and done their homework knows exactly what the BIG unions are about and it’s not the workers well being, it’s their own bottom line, just like the corporation they are supposedly opposing.
Unions are just a way to funnel those hardworking families dollars into the hands of the DNC and their candidates. Union shops are just small socialist societies within an organization that tend to make it harder on the company’s bottom line which in turn hurts the employees wages and benefits. Companies have to compete for talent, that is the equalizer, not some little contract that guarantees you peanuts. You wanna be lumped together? Put in the work and value your skills enough to make it without a false veil of security. You want sauce? Go ahead look up all those unions donation contributions and you’ll see where those dues are going. Unions are a prime example of corporate america.
And we really think the evil empire would just leave damning documented evidence for us to find? Come on, anything revealed will be nothing that some make out to be something.
