I think you are on to something here. I've been convinced that the Q operation and POTUS take great pains to do everything 100% legally. This does 2 things, it protects the outcome from being undone in a court and it keeps God on their side. So, the SpecOps grabbing the laptops bothered me, didn't seem to fit the rest of the plan. I prefer the HCSB translation myself. Modern language, so it is easy to read, but keeps the original meaning of the Hebrew or Greek writings.
I recommend looking into "The Bible Project". They have great short animated videos to help explain some of the themes of the bible, and a great long form podcast to get down into the nitty gritty of a particular topic.
