I only gamble on things I know, to try and take the risk of unknowns out as much as possible. The only sport I gamble on is MMA and I’ve made a point of researching before placing bets. So I rewatch fights on fighters and take notes. I’ve turned that into a small source of extra income. I usually make between 100-300 a week. I’ve been doing this for years. Yeah you could cash out early. I made the bets early, when the lines were pickem (or close to) and cashed out when Trump was a -800 favourite (I think, can’t remember the exact odd now, for some reason that 800 sticks in my mind). Point is that he went to a big favourite as votes started coming in.
I’m sure they have a cut off point at some time though. There was no penalty and I made money. I was using bet365 at the time.
