Thanks. Yeah, its tough but it's all new to us. We are slowly figuring out how to accomplish things like bed to chair/potty transfers and feeding/cleaning. We joke about our failures after we fix them and cheer ourselves when we start getting something right.

I am. I am also wondering why none of these lawyers are bringing up the fact that vaxxed people can contract, carry and spread the virus just as well as the unvaxxed.

Had to send my mom back to the ER on NYE (second time in a month. Prayers please) Went up yesterday for a visit and to talk to her docs and there was a lady checking in ahead of me for COVID. She was not sniffling, sneezing, coughing, no fever (they check that right at the desk). In other words, nothing serious wrong with her. Just a paranoid Karen insisting on using an ER bed for nothing because her vaccine didn't work.
I see the same thing. My son-in-laws office is 15 people - 2 unvaxxed. Guess who hasn't been sick with the coof? I also know three families who, the week before Christmas, all turned up with it. All vaxxed.
Those are the only people I see getting this thing. FB friends, vaxxed and infected. Some hospitalized.
Yeah, it's a pandemic of the unvaccinated. <snort>
Out of all the people I know personally who have been diagnosed with the coof (about 25 people), all but two are fully vaxxed and boosted. And the two pure bloods only had symptoms for two days.
Even my sickly 85yo mother (unvaxxed) who ended up in the hospital was able to avoid contracting the virus despite its presence on the floor she was housed on. We are in and out of doctors offices and labs constantly to deal with her heart issues and she has successfully avoided it for two years.
Despite being vaxxed, according to my states' numbers, 30+% of current coof hospitalizations are people who are fully vaxxed. They won't separate the numbers of unvaxxed and partially vaxxed.
For all who are dismissing this because the military of today is not the same, note that the article stated, "The vaccine, which has been in development for nearly two years, still needs to undergo phase 2 and phase 3 trials." That would be a Trump military, yes?
Maybe the military IS the only way.
With that said, still don't need a vaccine myself.
My doc is the same way. Told us if we got sick, do not go to the hospital! She would prescribe alternate therapies. She was ticked when the hospital system required the jab because she didn't want it either. She was thrilled when the hospital mandate was put on hold by the courts.
There are more out there than we know.

My brother was in NYC in the last couple of weeks for work. He and his co-workers were able to walk in to every downtown restaurant maskless and without their passports with no problem. Many owners are paying no mind to the "gubmint mandates".
I sell IT in the FED space and got no less than four emails from hardware and software partners/companies about this today. I anticipate more in the coming days.

When the nurses came to moms room, they had the typical mask and gloves. When they went into the other room, it was additional PPE. Mom s door could stay open, the other not. Mom heard the nurses arguing at the desk about the patient and them yelling at the husband trying to quarantine him since he had been in her room all day. Major loud fight.
In any case, I called and had her discharge papers written up. She was home by 10am. Had some of my homemade turkey broth and is doing well. Will definitely watch both of us for any symptoms of coof. Talking to her NP in the morning about prophylaxis.
She would not let that happen. She was very sick but called me when doctors were giving her info because she knew she wouldn't remember. For an 84 year old, she still has a good head on her shoulders, sick or not.
She overheard the nurses taking about her dying (with) COVID. I'm sure the dearth was due to another condition but the fact there was a COVID patient in the same place as non - infected patients is horrible.

Disinformation about QAnon has made people (like me) curious. I knew MSM was full of crap and figured if they were against it, i really ought to find out what the real story was. A little over a year ago I found GAW and realized you folks aren't scary lunatics. You guys have shown me new sources for real info and helped me hone my research skills. Although it's not much, I have been able to redpill a handful of folks thanks to you all and I'm sure they lurk here now too.
