My brother was in NYC in the last couple of weeks for work. He and his co-workers were able to walk in to every downtown restaurant maskless and without their passports with no problem. Many owners are paying no mind to the "gubmint mandates".
Which tells me no one gives a shit what the fake news media thinks anymore.
This used to be normal life before the coof BS.
I'll never forget that group of people going into Trader Joe's in CA when this first started and how sh*tty they were treated.

I used to really like TJs and shopped weekly there. It wasn't my main store but I'd get a lot of fun/extra stuff.
I refused to wait in line outside (with a face diaper) to be able to spend my money there during the scamdemic. I went back recently WITHOUT one since I heard that they don't make you wait in line any more, and I'd say about 35% still wore masks.
Have to admit that the enjoyment is no longer there - I kept seeing the CA TJs video in my mind - probably won't be going back.
Similar experience last winter. When I saw the long line of masked people waiting in the cold to get in, I noped right out. Went back again this past summer, and I'd say fifty percent of the shoppers were masked, as well as all employees. WTF is it about people who shop there? Most of the stores here have very few masked customers.

Enjoy going out to eat so I can be with people and talk. Doesn't work with a mask. Three of my favorite places within walking distance have gone out of business since Covid in my hometown downstate.

Need some more info since im in NJ and not sure about this. From what I've seen its been mandatory. But not sure when Biz's have been relaxing on this issue. Needs some NY Pedes to give more info since I may need to go to the NYC in Jan.

Until and unless business owners refuse to police the NYC mandate, their businesses will fail. Some business owners like the power and control, I.e. the Panerra manager who shut down the restaurant when several people without vax cards came in and sat down. 30 police responded.
This is the way.
