They are trying to keep their lives moving forward for their families and children. Unfortunately that means not doing a mass renunciation of modernity. But it isn't because they are evil, or just fascinated with traffic.
Well yeah. You have to remember that if every moral outrage caused people to abruptly behave in a way that might endanger their children, or lose their income, or put their homes or schedules or their "world" at any risk, it would destroy many children's lives. So many of us had wonderful childhoods in wonderful community. There were times people could have gone crazy and rioted, but instead decided to protect their children's lives. Even if it amounted to making a fantasy world to believe in. Childhoods, families, dreams and memories, and entire lives have been had because of the people that "shrugged" about the "news of the world" .
Just something I try to remember. It's a way to see the commonalities between "normies" and people that arent. Children should be protected from madness.

Yes. Sorry, i actually should have been more specific. You are right to have thought about India sort of reflexively when I mentioned caste. Im kind of an idiot. But yeah, I was referring to the American brand of caste which is not really race based in structure, although obviously that is a major factor. It is more complex than racism as a subject, and therefore ill admit I require further study before I can talk about that in any responsible, forr lack of a better term, way.

I'm not seeing how what I said is generating the question you asked. I don't see how they connect. America has a class system that works as a Caste system.
