Hope like hell to hear a FUCK JOE BIDEN chant. Just heard a few of those chants a couple weekends ago here at the Louder than Life music festival in nearby Louisville KY (we were led in one by Staind vocalist Aaron Lewis, who was wearing an Impeach Biden hat when leading said chant)

I mean we've only been using nuclear power for our ships and submarines since 1954 (hubs was in the US Navy submarine service in the early 2000s on the boat that bore the Father of the Nuclear Navy's name, Admiral Hyman G Rickover) I'd imagine we know a thing or two about nuclear power by now?

Not just sports. Hubs and I were at Louder Than Life (rock/metal music festival in Louisville KY) Sept 23-26 and Aaron Lewis of Staind led the crowd in a rather loud FJB chant while wearing an Impeach Biden hat. Also heard a spontaneous FJB chant break out as we we leaving last day of the festival.

Was at Louder than Life music festival last night, there was a pretty loud spontaneous FUCK JOE BIDEN chant during Staind's set. Staind vocalist was wearing an Impeach Biden hat and had a FUCK NEWSOM sticker on one of his guitars. He also led the crowd in a FUCK JOE BIDEN chant. Couple of ppl on the LTL IG got pissy about him "getting political" but fuck am.

LOL Was just at the Avatar show in Ft Wayne. Tallah were incredible as well. I had heard good things about them and they were a fun set to watch.

LMAO Oh you need to do a deep dive on Gojira. They've been around a LOT longer than you think, frend. 1996, to be exact. I was FLOORED when I read that cause I didn't know about them before their 'Magma' album. My current obsession is Avatar, metal band from Sweden. Discovered them in 2014 and they've opened my eyes to a lot of other great bands. If you get a chance to listen to Sirius XM, check out Octane and Liquid Metal channels. There are a lot of great metal bands out there that aren't getting play on your traditional hard rock/metal stations.

Yup. Whole household came down with the dreaded covid. Most potent drugs we had to get were the prescrip meds for nausea/cough for the hubs who got the worst of it. Other than that, our quarantine consisted of eating soup, drinking water and Gatorade and taking Dayquil/Nyquil. Only lost sense of smell/taste for a few days. Not really sure what the fuss is over what felt like a really shitty cold/flu.

Understand completely. We're from Louisville and live just south of there. 2020 and first part of 2021 with the covid lockdowns and the BLM/Breonna Taylor protests have dragged Louisville down to a point we don't think it'll ever recover.

LTL started in 2014, We've been every year since 2015 (had to work) 2018 (canceleld due to floods at old location near the Ohio River) and of course last yr.(covid) It's a lot of fun, but with Louisivlle KY's crime rate (it got bad last yr and this yr isn't much better) I completely understand the hesitation.

UGH what a lineup. Our last show before the Covid lockdowns was Slayer's farewell show here in Louisville KY Veteran's Day 2019. Last time we saw Megadeth was Rock on the Range 2016. There's still good music out there, it's just not being played on the traditional radio stations, especially if you're metalheads like my husband and I. We're going to Louder than Life festival next weekend for some much needed live music therapy.

Still blows my mind that 'Peace Sells' was released in 1986. Read the lyrics to that song and it could have been written last week. Just an incredible piece of music. Dave had a bout of throat cancer recently, glad to see he's still doing well and kicking ass.

Small correction: WAP was written by Cardi B, not Nicki.

2.7? ok so I don't live in an area that gets quakes often (closest is New Madrid and there hasn't been a big un there since the 1800s) but I didn't think LAers would get out of bed for anything over, say, a 6 if not higher.

Hubs was diagnosed last Tues, I got the diag this past Thurs. We've already started to get taste/smell back. Hubs had some prescrip meds for cough/nausea after a virtual visit and we've just been taking a lot of Dayquil/Nyquil. We just have a lingering cough now, I have a touch of dizziness from time to time. Other than that, we're on the mend. We were vaxxed too (hubs with Moderna in Feb, me with Pfizer in April) but after this we're both like, 'fuck anyone who approaches us about a booster shot'

lol just sent this to my hubs (USN 2000-2006) we just tested positive last week. Past couple of days were rough, but apart from a lingering cough, we're already on the mend. This gave us both a good chuckle.
