Exactly. Parroting implies that they are copying what others in the media are saying, when in fact they are all being instructed to say that.

She had posted a series of social media posts on Twitter that laid out the story. They of course have been scrubbed, but here is a cached version that I found:

At the time it did indeed sound very plausible that he was part of an undercover operation on a mission to infiltrate Antifa. However everything that I've seen since then has led me to believe that the guy was acting on his own. Here is an interview with her from March: https://rumble.com/vefjo5-david-rodriguez-interviews-jake-angelis-sister-about-jake-and-demonstration.html

That does not give me any additional justification or confidence to believe that he is undercover active military instead of just a former Marine. But beyond that, what I don't get is that if he really WAS officially undercover, why is his sister blabbing so much about it? She egregiously broke basic OpSec.

Who knows? Chalk it up to one more choatic anecdote in the fog of war...

Which Tim Conway? I could maybe handle giving birth to a Dorf but not a Mickey Hart.

I saw that same info, with his sister's clams. IIRC it was all found to be a larp, but not 100% positive. Probably worth a revisit and re-read.

I heard that story going around for a few weeks after Jan 6 too. I believe the real story is that he's just a bit of a nutjob.

Set boundaries immediately. In all aspects.

What's ironic in my family is that my liberal in-laws (ex-hippies) are extremely flexible with how my wife and I raise my children even if they have stupid political viewpoints. They are a bit self-centered, and we actually wish they would pay more attention to the kids (although to be fair they are getting up there in years). But they never judge us or try to interfere.

Whereas my conservative parents...who love Trump...are very churchy and judgmental about EVERYTHING we do with the kids (particularly my mother, who gets this behavior very honestly from my grandfather). I've had to threaten lack of visitation...my kids are their only grandkids...if she doesn't stop butting into my business. If you have the leverage, use it.

Meh, but lots of former presidents are still referred to with the honorific of "President". This seems like a nothing-burger to me.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.

Sad but true.

Almost impossible to get that approved by the feds. Only Texas has the ability to do this in any reasonable way. Having these counties latch onto an existing state was done specifically because it was the far easier path.

It's an appeal to emotion using a child as a prop, which I generally dislike as well.

HOWEVER -- this is what works. This has been done to us by the Left for decades. Time to fight fire with fire and stop trying to take the high road. Winners write the history books.

This seems like one of those "wait 36 hours before commenting" kind of situations...

I am currently living in a VERY liberal town in suburban Philadelphia. I would guess every third house had a Biden sign out front. Now I think it's less than 5 (at least on the streets I drive on).
