In a meeting of the Joint Chiefs, who else would be standing next to Trump for the photo shoot? He was Chairman at the time.

I'm not that invested a story about the FBI planting evidence on the wrong person.

It also shows they are an ivory tower. Similar to the constant jokes about Trump's diet, but they know this, yet choose to risk further alienating their audience.

I remember the day that someone told me the filter: "How does Trump operate? Trump hired him (Mattis) to do a particular job, because that person was the most qualified in that arena. Once that job was done, Trump needed a different skill set in that position." The cover of insignificant emotional noise was a tactical masterclass, and I hope an entire book is written about it.

Happy Thanksgiving to the prayer warriors, the meme makers, and the ones worth fighting for.

As long as he's innocent, he'll be ok. God wins and his name is cleared because the op has been monitored. In the universe where the elite cabal win, he gets let out and there is no sex offender registry.

Catch 22 and he only burns if he's guilty.

Agree, but in my experience it's not a magic bullet. I'm not invited to the family events because of the vax, but I'm dinning out with the parent/grandparent. So they're probably just concerned about perceptions, towing the party line.

Since last May, I've been using Socratic dialog, but they're very ill. It isn't about scoring points in a game, but you could call it one-step-forward two-steps-back. If they manage to understand the logical conclusion, they're de-deprogrammed within 24 hours.

They subconsciously gaslight themselves and everyone else. The best example is when they accidentally say things out-loud like "Why can't the stupid Republicans hurry up and die so this thing can go back to normal?" I'd tell them it's cruel to wish for someones death, and they would freak out because they actually believe I was making it up that they said these things, 10 seconds after they said it.

Questions that illicit critical thinking just pisses them off at this point. Original thoughts hurt their brains.

I can still laugh at them though. A smile and a laugh brightens the room, even if they don't realize the joke is on them. They smile and blink at you and their program changes the subject. The only common ground with them is despising pedos, but it doesn't elevate the mood so I use it sparingly. Humor is key, don't give up.

Portland is being Portland. Though it doesn't look like a proper seige has started yet. Nice try though, interns.

I just took a look up and noticed it. I thought it was going in and out of totality multiple times, wondering if that could be from earth's rotation and slight asymmetry. Then I remembered that clouds are a thing.

Beautiful, at the same time very spooky. Send it some God rays like it's Goku's spirit bomb.
