Maybe it's just me, but after three cups of coffee this morning, I realize that yesterday may have been a blessing in disguise. President Trump didn't win those states anyway, so this wasn't a mandate. One thing keeps popping into my head over and over: "Sometimes you can't tell them, you have to show them."

One of the things I can always count on is coming to this board and reading the words of others. That's why I came here in the first place a few years ago. Haven't been posting much as of late, been doing other things, but once in a while I get a break and can find solace here.

I like that last paragraph. Good advice. I didn't panic yesterday at the results...as a matter of fact, my wife and I really didn't care. We're older now and aren't going to be around when the bill comes due for all this craziness. We have no grandchildren to worry about - it's just the two of us and our little dogs.

Thanks guys, for providing the refuge.

One of many reasons I left brick and mortar to teach online. It took some getting used to, but I make more money and don't have the hassle of trying to make conversation with leftie teachers that are impossible to talk to. Don't miss it one bit. There was shit like this taking place at our school occasionally, and it just got to a point where I kept to myself. This is more prevalent than people can imagine.

Funny as usual, Fester - but those ones about Mamdami are closer to the truth than people realize. If he gets in, NYC is cooked and a lot of people are going to be shaking their heads asking how it got to that point.

Folks, I spent most of my time in the Navy over there, in the 80's. I'll go on record right now as saying that you can't deal with Hamas [even though it really didn't exist back then] or any other group claiming to "help" or "free" Palestine. It ain't gonna happen. If there's one country you don't want to fuck with, it's Israel, whether you believe in them or not. They will do anything, and I mean anything, to protect their homeland. Hamas is too fucking stupid to figure that out.

Just for the hell of it, I came up with a new acronym: TDSF - Trump Derangement Syndrome Fatigue. What the hell. I figure if someone hasn't used this yet, I'll lay claim to it, but if it has been used, bravo to you, patriot.

This has probably been stated a thousand times, but the magnitude of this movement in the name of Charlie Kirk is staggering. I had heard of him, heard him a few times, and knew what he looked like, and that was the extent of it. As I work on some other things, my wife has the TV on and is watching the event. I am realizing now that the analogy regarding awakening a sleeping giant could not be closer to the truth. The only mystery now is how long the democratic party can continue their attacks and spew their vitriol before that comes to an end. In a word, the is all pretty incredible.

Numb today. Looking out of my home office window at Old Glory flying at half-mast. Words will never be able to describe the meaning of that.

This is great. Thanks. One of my favorite movies is Fail-Safe (1964) and they used them, even the placement of the three men in the plane was inaccurate, that first introduced me to this beast. I remember my stepdad telling me one time though that the Hustler was prone to engine fires, that was pretty much its only fault. He later worked on the B-1 and told me that the Lancer had some initial electrical problems, but it is a big, beautiful beast in its own regard. I met someone who served in Afghanistan who said the locals could always tell when a B-1 was called in because of its distinctive roar and the ability to drop a massive load of bombs at low altitude. It would scare the shit out of them. Man, I love this stuff. Not to discount the B-2 or even the B-52, but the Hustler still remains my favorite plane, with the B-1 a close second.

I wouldn't be surprised if they coined a new WNBA shot "the schlong" where you could get points for your team if you actually made a shot at the exact same time one of those dildos hit the court πŸ˜‚ - and I'm probably going to regret it that I don't get credit for it when someone else invents the same thing 🀣

Oh, that one with how to keep liberal teachers out of the classroom kills me, Fester - 🀣 because most of the times it is true, and I have worked with them. Some could easily be mistaken for parade floats - πŸ˜‚

Met Ann & Nancy once at Pepperdine. Used to have a pretty serious thing for them. I liked their earlier stuff [like you have here] better, but then they switched to glam rock to adjust to the 80's. Nevertheless, Dreamboat Annie, Little Queen and Dog & Butterfly are good, solid albums. Bebe Le Strange has a couple of good tracks too. Crazy On You is a rock staple. On the Dog & Butterfly album, I like the second side. There's a song called Nada One that brings back memories. The studio version of Mistral Wind hits it pretty good. They're a lot older now and Ann had to suffer through cancer, plus they had a falling out but are back together again. I try and focus on their music and not their political views, because they are lefties.
