The fact her plans were canceled even though no lockdown was imposed for Christmas and no public appearances, and old meetings posted as recent, including her pre-recorded Christmas message she most likely did in Ocotober (note the fake background in the video), it all points to her having died last month.

That's what I think, either to cover up no one gong there because you don't visit a dead person, or as you said to simply excuse her not being outside, again to cover for the fact the died last month.
